The queens

On top of the table were the two puppets he had designed, they were both large at the size of an adult pig. Side by side they occupied the entire work table.

On the left side a large queen ant could be seen, the body divided into head, chest and abdomen, the six powerful legs protruding from the sides of the body and the strong jaws were an intimidating threat to anyone approaching. Its silvery color came from the metal alloy used to forge its body.

On the right side, on the other hand, was a queen bee with the same size as his companion ant. The similar anatomy of the two made them look like sisters, but unlike the ant, the queen bee had a golden hue and a stinger at the end of its abdomen.

Nicola chose to create these two puppets because he remember his hobby back on earth, he liked to create insects. And the ones that most fascinated his creation were the colonies.

Ants and bees were the most social insects that existed and also the most deadly for acting in groups. Their manufacture included various weapons hidden within his body, the different materials Nicola collected during those years were used through his profession as an elementary craftsman to impart spell-like abilities to the two automata.

The queen ant has the ability to dig and build shelters underground or in the rock while the queen bee can fly and build organic structures like a hive. Both were not only puppets of war, but also had supportive and constructive functions.
