You looked up from your sitting position when you heard a knock at the door. "Y/N? Are you in there? Can I come in?" You looked back down at the floor ignoring the 'bot.
"It's me, Rewind. I wanted to give you some good news." The door to your habsuite opened slowly, letting the light spill into the room. "Rung is back on his legs and Rodimus wanted me to as if you wanted to join us all at Swerves?" You widen your eyes slightly as you looked back up.
You looked him in the optics once he was completely inside. You noticed that he was looking you over before his optics widened. "Oh my!" Rewind hurried over to your disheveled state. "What happened? You haven't been taken care of yourself have you?" You gave a guilty expression as you shook your head.
"No. I felt guilty. Like it was my fault. If I could just have been less useless." You grabbed your head as you sniffled. Rewind placed his servo on your shoulder as a way to comfort you.
"It wasn't your fault. And you were actually useful. Because of you, Rodimus got the idea of shooting through the window." "Really?" Rewind nodded his helm before moving forward and hugging you. "Really."
"Let's go see the others. They're waiting for you." You nodded and stood up, looking down at yourself. "It think that I am gonna change my clothes and get at least bit cleaned up."
Rewind nodded before walking over to the door. "Just call if you need any help." You smiled and nodded, grateful for his help. "I will."
::: Swerves :::
You were currently sitting in Whirls lap, playing with a rubix cube. Swerve had been nice enough to gift it to you. You were trying to get it right, letting Whirl help you. And Whirl had decided to sit on top of the table in the booth instead of the seat.
"It's nice to finally have you out of your habsuite Y/N." You both looked up from the rubix cube and onto Skids as he walked over to the two of you. "We were all getting worried about you since you never answered anyone."
You rubbed your neck nervously. "Yeah, sorry about that. I just needed some time alone." You smiled softly at Skids before going back to the rubix cube. "But thanks for being concerned." You glanced up at him with a brighter smile.
He gave a thumbs up and smiled as well, before going back to the others. Ambs was the next 'bot to join the two of you. He jumped onto the table before barking softly.
You looked up from the cube, to the sight of Ambs patroding around with a puffed out chest. "You got the badge removed?" You stood up from Whirls lap, which made him grumble a bit.
You hugged Ambs around his neck. "I'm so happy for you!" First Aid came up to the two of you. "It took a bit longer than expected. Decepticon badges are tricky." You nodded, agreeing with him.
"I'm just glad that you could do it. Thank you." You kept petting Ambs but you looked up at First Aid with a grateful look. "You shouldn't thank me though. You should thank Ratchet and Drift. They were the ones who did it. I'm just the messenger."
"Still. Thank you." First Aid nodded before looking down at his datapad. "I also had to say that Ratchet wanted to talk to you at some-" He got caught off as one of your crewmates barged into the bar, yelling; "Who's ready for a fight!"
::: The medibay :::
Why did their mission go so badly? You walked back and forth in the medibay, really wanting to do more. So many were hurt badly and you could do more. But you also knew that it wouldn't be good idea.
Plus Ratchet, First Aid and Ambulon were doing good. They were able to put two of the five injured 'bots into a safe zone. And you knew Cyclonus and the other 'bot was gonna make it.
There was only one 'bot you were worried about. Rewind. His spark was dim and Chromedome didn't have a strong enough spark to kickstart Rewinds. But you wanted to wait and only take action if absolutely necessary.
First Aid scrambled around a bit with the patient files, trying to find a match. His optics widened in frustration as he seemed like he couldn't find anyone. He sat down and groaned shortly before getting back up and looking.
You looked over at Rewind, contemplating the pros and the cons, before walking over to Rewind. You sat on your knees near his chest, looking at him with sorrowful eyes.
You reached your hand out to his chest, not quite touching him yet. You looked back at First Aid, making sure that he was still looking through the patient files before lowering your hand on Rewinds chest. You were just hoping that this would work.
::: The medibay, some time later :::
Chromedome was hugging First Aid tightly. "Thank you so much. Whatever you did to make him better, thank you." First Aid seemed nervous in his body language. "You're welcome though I am not even sure how it worked.
You smiled softly, even though you were looking exhausted. You looked down at Ambs, as your smile faltered, recalling a conversation you had heard between Chromedome and Tailgate.
You hugged Ambs close, whispering softly to yourself, since he was sleeping. "How do I tell them?" You brushed his head softly. You looked up as Ratchet walked over to you two.
"Y/N, can I talk to you in private? Ambs can come too, if you want him to. It's about him."
::: Ratchets office :::
Ratchet put you onto his table before sitting down in his chair, looking at you with a stern expression. You kept petting Ambs as Ratchet folded his hands, laying them in front of you.
"I need to know his real name. Who he really is." You looked up at him with wide eyes. "I know that he isn't a normal turbo fox. His seams doesn't add up. And we noticed that he had scarring that only people that gets their t-cog removed has."
You looked onto the ground in a kind of guilt. "Dominus Ambus." Ratchet widened his optics slightly before going back to his stoick expression. "Let me guess. Domestication?" You nodded your head softly, still petting Ambs.
"I guess you don't want to talk about it?" You shook your head, tears brimming your eyes. You knew that you couldn't do anything against it since it happened before you arrived, but you still felt guilty as all hell.
"It's alright. But you know that we might be able to help him get back to his original state if Chromedome agrees." You looked to the side, remembering his and Tailgates conversation again.
"I don't think it's a good idea. At least not yet." You stood up from your sitting position. "I don't want to lose Ambs. I'm afraid he might not like me after he becomes his old self."
Ratchet placed his servo on your shoulder softly. "And I can understand that. You both need to take your time." You smiled and nodded before turning and walking over to the edge.
Ratchet helped you down while Ambs just jumped down. "Oh and Ratchet?" Ratchet looked down at you with a raised optic ridge. "Please don't tell anyone. I don't want them to take a decision for us." Ratchet smiled slightly and nodded. "I promise not to tell anyone."
Right before you walked out of the door, Ratchet called your name. "Rodimus wanted to know if you would come with them to the planet Hedonia." You smiled widely, nodding.
::: The shuttle :::
You were laying down on one of the seats with Ambs laying on top of you. Or at least his helm did. "So what is this Hedonia place?" You asked Rodimus. He looked down at you with a slight smile. "It's a small planet, pretty full with organics."
He seemed to think a bit before looking back down at you. "You'll see it when we get there." He smirked slightly before standing up. "Alright, listen up everyone. Hedonia has areas that are organics only. So send in your holo avatars first before going in yourselves."
He glanced down at you for a moment before going back to giving orders. "There's gonna be at least one person with Y/N and Ambs at all times. Hedonia has been known for kidnappings of the few humans that happens to come there."
You widen your eyes as you looked up at Rodimus, pleading that he was joking in your look. He sat down and noticed your look, before looking down at the ground. "I'm sad to say, but it is true. But don't worry, we're gonna protect you."
You smiled gratefully before going back to petting Ambs. You glanced over at Rewind, who was talking with Rung. You just stared a bit, as your hand stilled.
You felt guilty for not telling Rewind who Ambs really were, but you also didn't want to tell him and then let him take the decision of making Dominus come back. You didn't even know if the Ambus liked organics, and you just didn't want to risk losing another friend.
You were lucky that Rewind and Rung had survived after the injuries they had suffered. You still remember the day you snuck out under a night cycle to visit Rung.
You also remember the feeling of his spark, such a soft and warm feeling underneath his chest plates after you had laid your hand on it. And the last thing you remember from that night, was Ratchet carrying you to your habsuite.
You just wished that you had helped Ratchet with the injured bots instead of being stuck with Fortress Maximus, back when he was causing chaos. But it must have been fine, since all if the 'bots that had been injured were doing just fine now.
You jolted up when you felt the shuttle land on the planet. You hadn't noticed that you had fallen asleep. "Alright, everyone, get ready for joining the Hedonia population for a day. Skids, I place Y/N with you for now."
You saw Skids nod before he walked over to you. Everyone was leaving the shuttle, making you two the last in the shuttle. "Come on then." You nodded, getting down from the seat.
Ambs landed beside you, kneeling slightly so that you could sit on him and get a ride from him. You thanked him, letting the three of you get out of the shuttle as well. Rodimus closed the shuttle afterwards and locking it.
"Where you want to go first?" Skids looked down at you as you were getting closer to the city in front of you. "Hm, let's just follow the others." Skids nodded, agreeing with you.
::: The bar :::
Everyone was sitting at a table at one of the many bars in Hedonia, with you on the table beside Skids and Whirl. Ambs was sitting in his own chair in between the two 'bots. He was big enough to be able to look over your head.
You were quietly sipping on your own drink. It was some kind of smoothie made by some of the local fruits. It tasted pretty good in your opinion. It was very sweet with an undertone of something sour.
It might not have been energon but you weren't drinking it for the energy, only for the taste. You also knew that you were gonna purge it up later in the day since you didn't have a human digestive system.
You were kind of happy for that sometimes, since it didn't mean unrelenting toilet trips but it was also kind of weird and it was one of those things you missed, but only because it would have made you more human than what you are now.
You would sometimes taste the drinks the others were drinking, if not only for the hell of it, but everytime, it just tasted like some kind oily thing and it weirded out your tastebuds.
"Here, try this Magnus." Whirl gave Ultra Magnus a drink. You could smell the stench from where you sat. It wasn't any normal drink, like what the others were drinking. "Down in one go."
You didn't get enough time to warn Magnus of the stench before he had downed everything in the cup. "Feel any different?" Swerve had asked softly. Magnus shook his head as he held up the cup slightly.
"It's good." Swerve let his face scrunch up a bit. "Is your F.I.M. chip disabled?" Magnus nodded his head before taking a bit of one of the other drinks. "You know that you have to turn it off to enjoy the fun, right? If you have it turned off then you can practically just back to your recharge slab."
Magnus vented softly before nodding. "Fine I'll turn it off." You raised your hand slightly, wanting to interject but once again you were too late. Magnus fell over, landing on the ground with a hard thud.
"Oh no! I killed Ultra Magnus." You deflated slightly as Swerve kept blaming himself over Ultra Magnus laying on the ground motionless. "Whirl, that wasn't a normal drink was it? It smelled stronger than any of the others."
Whirl seemed to look kind of smug as he gazed upon you, shaking his head. "This is nuclear grade energon!" You looked over at Skids that had take a bit on his digit, tasting it.
Whirl just shrugged as Swerve walked up to him, clearly distressed. "You killed Ultra Magnus!" Whirl shook his head. "No. I just gave him the energon. You made him turn off his F.I.M. chip."
Swerve looked even more mortified than before. "Don't do that to him Whirl. He's already in enough distress." Whirl grumbled slightly, complying and leaving Swerve alone.
"Wait! He's still alive! I hear moving parts." Rung called from where he was leaning on Ultra Magnus' chest. "Great, so he's not dead. That's a relief." You smiled softly before looking over at the still panicking Swerve.
You walked over to him, grabbing his shoulder softly. "Hey, don't be scared. Everything is gonna be fine, don't worry. I'll help you explain everything once he wakes up." Swerve looked at you with teary optics. "Really?" You nodded your head. "Really."
::: Not long after :::
Everyone had gotten Magnus up to the table again, making it look like he was passed out in a more normal way. "Easy enough, it's Killmaster." You looked over at Whirl as he was telling about his nemesis, while stacking empty glasses on top of Magnus' helm.
"Ugly as sin, he was probably a monoformer which makes it even worse. Anyway, he's dead now." Rewind began blabbering about how he could picture their final fight, but he got cut off by Whirl, telling how it really went down.
"What about you Y/N? Do you have a nemesis?" Everyone turned to you with curious expressions. "I, uh, actually, yeah, I have. Kind of. His name is Censere. But then again, I wouldn't really call him a nemesis. Just more or less a 'bot that doesn't like me."
Rung raised an eyebrow, questioning why. "Well, I get in the way of his work a lot, thanks to..." You trailed off getting your mind go blank. After a few more seconds, you shook your head. "Doesn't matter anyway."
You didn't notice the worried expression Rung made when he looked at you, as the others went back to talking about their nemesis. You just went back to your drink, thinking back to the old days.
You missed the days before the DJD. The time before anything war related happened to your life. You just wanted to go back. With all of your being. You just wanted to go back.
