Chapter 14 - A Call From Tokyo

It's 10 in the evening, and Kiyoshi was back at his apartment home. He was in his bedroom calculating and computing today's expenses and checking off completed to-do lists. His surroundings are quiet and peaceful as usual. And as he is about to open his personal journal, a call rang from his touchscreen phone. Upon hearing it, Kiyoshi picked it up and answered it. It was his uncle in Tokyo, who was doing his office work on a laptop in the dining room of his home. He called Kiyoshi so he could check on him and his life as a orphaned teenager living in Hiroshima.

"Oh, uncle, hi, good evening," Kiyoshi greeted him in response.

"How are you, Kiyoshi?" his uncle positively replied back.

"I'm fine, thank you," answered Kiyoshi positively. "I recently went shopping for supplies and food."

"Ah, I see," his uncle responded back. "So, how was it?"

"It's fine," Kiyoshi replied back normally. "It went well, while spending less."

"Okay, that's good," replied his uncle in response. "I see you are still okay living all by yourself, right?"

"Yes, I am still okay," Kiyoshi responded positively.

"Remember, you can ask us for help if need to, okay?" his uncle reminded him in response with a little seriousness.

"Okay, I will, uncle," Kiyoshi promised in response. He and his uncle then ended their conversation for the night.

Not long after, Kiyoshi put his phone aside and proceeded to open his personal journal to write a diary log entry for today.

After writing one paragraph in pencil, Kiyoshi wrote one sentence in green ink, "Me and Sachio-chan saw an old, creepy-looking building across the street from a pet store. We don't what it is, but we do know that it was a place where homeless people live and dwell in its abandoned interior floors."
