Chapter 9: First Quest Pt. 2
The night was growing older, the campfire was blazingly lighting up the surrounding area. I was taking small bites of the rabbit, Jared hunted. My clones were getting better, their stats growing closer to that of a beginner in their fields of expertise.
While I was finishing eating my rabbit, Jared came up to me.
"Brother, do you want me to keep watch while you sleep?"
I responded.
"Yes, but I have something I want to do."
He nodded and walked back to where he was, a log which he sat on eating another piece of the rabbit.
I got up, and opened up my skill window.

I absorbed the chaos shards and placed them into the stats I deemed necessary for the upcoming fight. The two skills I acquired were quite handy for I can do so much better in the upcoming battles.

After the sudden thoughts a feminine voice could be heard in my head.
["Which clone would you like to store?"]
"Josh"
["Confirming clone.... Storage complete"]
Within seconds, my third clone disappeared from my sight and was added to a new panel that appeared before me.

My third clone appeared once again before me, and my newly added window adjusted showing I had no clones in my storage. Storing clones and taking them out didn't take much mana compared to making one so this is going to work.
"Jared take out the bow you made"
"Yes brother"
After dozens of tries of Jared trying to make a bow, he finally was able to make one and a handful of arrows.

--9 hours pass--
We were walking through the forest, while avoiding some strong monsters that we encountered along the way.
'We don't have time to fight you right now, but we will come back for you later'
We have been searching for this goblin camp for almost 2 hours and still there was no sign of it.
'Was the map wrong?'
However I finally caught a stench of something terrible, we finally arrived! We all began to crouch and we saw around a dozen goblins surrounding about 3 straw huts. There were blood splatters across the grass, and I could see bodies all grouped up together, and was set on fire after a goblin threw a torch on top of them.
'Disgraceful bastards!!!'

There was something odd about this group of goblins, there was definitely something strange about it. There was definitely a lot more than what was stated, and I could sense one more in the hut in the middle surrounded by two others. These three felt stronger than the others outside enjoying their "Entertainment" .

"Okay listen up everyone, this one is going to be a tougher fight, we might get seriously hurt so we need to make use of our stealth effectively. Kira, I want you to throw a big fireball towards the hut in the middle, and Josh use your bow to at least take down two goblins."
They all nodded their heads.
"Yes brother!"
We got a little closer and the stench grew stronger than before, the smell of burnt corpses.

I could see a big ball of fire headed towards the middle hut, and arrows fly towards the goblins.

Regardless of Josh landing both arrows killing them both, I was only awarded with one CS, meaning that it is random when I gain the extra chaos shards from my clones. The goblins all began to panic from the big fire consuming their main hut. And were taken by surprise as Jared and I attacked them from behind.

As we began to fight, another fireball was shot towards a group of goblins that were sticking together only to get burnt to crisps.

There were now 4 goblins left. The fight was only beginning, I gripped my axe tighter and looked towards the burning hut. Three figures came out while covering their faces with their arms, two of them looked extremely injured, and they were wearing iron armor throughout their body. And as for the the third. He was as tall as an adult male, with a built complexion.
He too was wearing iron armor, and was carrying two iron swords on his back. He began to pat himself throughout his body, trying to get rid of the fire.
'He has a higher intelligence than the other goblins I met, he must have evolved from a goblin to a hobgoblin. His appearance does seem different... this is going to be tough battle from here on out.'
