Departure

It took three days for B23 to gather his team of ten. He chose one person for each of the most important jobs for this mission, a tracker, a doctor, a marksman, an assassin, a swordsmen, and a scholar. Obviously these guys were experts in more specific branches of there jobs, however they aren't important right now so they wont be mentioned. The final four were all explorer like people before the petrification, and did things like explore and map the amazon forest for the fun of it, or find there way through a mountain range without any prior knowledge about it.

These types of people were incredibly valuable in a time where people only had the basic shape of a continent and everything else is different. So although Liam didnt want to put them in danger, and neither did B23, they had to for the mission. So with his team prepared for their journey, they met up with Liam at the front gate of their town.

The town was about ten by fifteen miles (16x14 km) in size, so it wasn't that big in comparison to modern towns and cities, but it still had a decent population and size. They were meeting up at the north gate secretly at sunset to allow them to leave safely. Only Liam, B23, the ten on the team, and some of the higher ups in command knew about their departure. They didnt tell anyone else as they didnt want to get everyone's hopes up, only to have them shattered if they cant find the stone.

"Alright! B23! You and your team will be going on a long journey that will likely take months, perhaps even a year. So, while you are gone I will run your positions and make sure nothing to huge happens." Liam started to talk to his soldiers.

"You are all going on a mission that could very well prove to be perilous, so make sure to train often and be prepared for anything, I don't want to see a single dead body when you return. Is this understood?!" Liam asked.

"Yes Lord!" They all replied while bowing, with B23 bowing slightly less.

"I have personally picked the best vampire horses we have for each of you, and I have modified them, so carry out these orders with utmost efficiency!" He finished and called out some horses, which each went up to a vampire and allowed them to mount.

"Lord! We will return with the red stone of Aja! I swear I will use every thing I have at my disposal to make sure it happens!" B23 said.

"Very good B23! When you return successfully, I will bestow upon each of you a proper name." Liam said, and everyone immediately became overjoyed and determined to succeed.

They were all named after numbers and letters because there were so many of them, and Liam didnt like to use the names they previously had because they were given to them by a human. They didnt like to use them either, because they viewed humans as lesser beings, so if their god gave them a name, it would be the highest of honors.

"We look forward to it lord! Now men! Let us begin!" B23 said happily with a face full of determination.

"Yes commander!" They all said in unison and turned around on their horses.

Liam watched them leave with pride for the soldiers he had under him. He also felt a little worried for them. They were among his top elite and his oldest soldiers, so he didnt want them to die. He knew the power Raijin possessed and the speed with which he improved in battle. He knew of Raijin's determination to kill him and all connected to him. He knew B23 was strong now, but he wasn't sure if he was strong enough to fight Raijin, after all, he couldn't assume that he and his men were the only ones working hard to get stronger.

He wanted to go himself, however he has to manage his new kingdom. It was much larger now compared to when he had last fought Raijin, and he couldn't just leave them behind for who knows how long after putting all of his effort into building it up. He isn't that much of a coward that he would abandon all of his people just to get a chance to cure himself of the suns danger to him.

"Come back safe soldiers. I don't know how well our nation can grow without you." Liam said quietly to himself.

-----------------------

"Alright! We need to get this mission done as fast as possible in order to please lord Liam!" B23 stated loudly over the sound of the horses trotting.

"Of course commander! I believe the best road to Canada right now would be the coast. We don't know how much the geography has changed over the last thousands of years, so it would be extremely risky to try to navigate it without a map." The first explorer said.

"If we do that we would take longer! The place where lord Liam fought that human is deep inside Canada. That was stated multiple times in opening paragraphs, so why would we stray so far from it? We should follow the stars, even if they are a little inaccurate." Said the second explorer that was good at reading the stars as a map and looked like Chris Pratt. We will call him star lord and he will be the first to die.

"You Fucking Idiots! Why would we do any of that if we can just make a map?" The third one that was a cartographer said as if it was an obvious fact that they failed to see.

"And how do you plan to do that genius? Are you going to sprout wings and fly?" The second asked.

The others just looked away and let the navigators do their job. They weren't able to do anything useful until they got to their destination anyway, so their input was not needed.

"Silence! We are doing this for lord Liam! We don't have any need to keep arguing with each other at the moment. It is doing more harm then good." The fourth explorer spoke up.

"What do you mean? We are fighting because these idiots don't know how to do anything right! I don't even know how they qualified to be on this mission." The third one said as he took out a piece of paper and started to draw their rout based off of his experience.

He was actually the most experienced one here, the others were just here for insurance. All the cartographer needed was to reach high point every now and then and he could map out their path easily. What he was doing now was taking note of anything that could be used as a land mark around him in order to make sure they could find their way back.

"How do you propose we make a map then?" B23 asked the cartographer.

"All I need is a high point, then I can map out our route for the next few miles." He replied.

"Some height huh?" B23 said under his breath. He thought far a few seconds before he looked at the cartographer and smiled. He then told Onaka to wake up.

Onaka had to come to as he was B23s stomach, however he had to hibernate more frequently after they became a vampire for some reason. Unknown to them, this reason was because of what the mask did to them. In the show, Migi had to start hibernating more after Shinichi was nearly killed and he had to revive him by spreading his own cells throughout his body. The mask forced Onaka and B23 to fuse more into one being, making Onaka's cells spread throughout B23 and forcing him to fall asleep more often and for longer without a way to wake him up.

Fortunately, Onaka was just sleeping normally right now, so there was no need to wait a long time. B23 simply flicked his stomach a few times hoping to wake him up, but that failed as Onaka ignored him. So B23 took out a knife and stabbed himself in the stomach. This woke him up.

"What the hell? Why would you do that you asshole?!" Onaka yelled in surprise as he looked at the knife in-between his teeth.

"Sorry I need you to do something. But you wouldn't wake up so I had no choice. Anyway, once you help me out, I will let you go back to sleep okay." B23 said, trying to brush off the attempted murder.

"Don't try to change the subject! Why would I help you after you stabbed me? You can just do your mission by yourself. After all, lord Liam sent you to find this stone, not me. I am only here because I am attached to you. Otherwise I would be back writing books with lord Liam." Onaka complained.

"Look, I don't care what you do with my spare time, but you are a part of my body, and you will do as I say." B23 said angrily.

"Okay! Fine, whatever, I don't care. What do you need to me do? It better be quick otherwise I'm going back to sleep and if you wake me up again I swear I will kill both you and me." Onaka gave in.

"Simple, I just need you to help me fly with someone for a little while okay?" B23 asked nicely and hopefully.

"You woke me up so that you can fly?" Onaka asked irritated.

"Yes" B23 replied shamelessly.

"Fuck you!" Onaka yelled.

I have a few ideas for the name I want to give B23, but it would be cool if you readers could give a few suggestions to. I am looking for a name that either sounds very intimidating in either Russian or German, or similar to a god affiliated with dark, death, destruction, etc. in any religion where it fits. Any other ideas would be appreciated to. You also can probably tell that most of B23s team is going to die as I haven't given them number names. I don't think it matters much if I spoil it though as they are pretty worthless and only there as filler characters. Thanks for reading.
