ch 7

Waking up that morning seemed a bit harder for River. He was properly tucked into the bed that had railings. The story behind the little kid bed for this adult minded child was funny. Went to bed one night with nightmares and woke up in the morning and shouted. He found himself on the floor with a slight cold from not being covered in a blanket that night. After his shout though, his mom ran in with worry marring her pretty face, looked on the ground and laughed.  The utter confusion on her child's face was misplaced. They fixed the problem with a set of rails on the bed. Removable for when he was older. Getting up and dressed was easy that day as the maids have learned to leave his clothes for the day out on a chair with in his reach and a stand up mirror near it so he dressed himself. Learning the hard way when a harmless waterball flew at 3 of them one morning when they entered thinking he was still asleep. He apologized and asked that they just leave his clothes out for him and with permission from the lord and lady of the house the rule was implemented.

Meeting his family in the dining hall he asked his dad a question that had been bugging him a while. "hey dad, is there a guild I can register for adventures or my creations at. I want to help this territory for brother when he inherits it later.  I know I can make it more profitable and make money for myself as well. I don't was to succeed the title either I just want to take care of my family. I never got a chance before."  The end of his sentence seemed to get a sad tome but by the time dad finished telling him about the Adventure Guild and Merchants Guild he was happy. He was also informed about the Craftsmens Guild where all the things like tools to dresses were distributed from. They had a bit of a system there since it had metal wood fabric and magic items to be used as materials.

"I can take you down to Register you as soon as you have an item to distribute ready. The Craftsmen can help or you can get materials from them too. But you will need a new product of clear quality material in order to wow the leaders because of you age. Don't let them have the chance to say no to an item you made." Dad was very helpful, I knew exactly what to make. "Can we go to the Craftsmans Guild today dad. I know a magic item I want to make but I need some things cut and prepared.  I'll draw them up and bring them in.  Can I have a parchment paper please…" I asked really sweetly knowing the paper was not cheap, but my worries were null when dad agreed and sent a butler to grab a few and a quill for me. After breakfast ended I drew a design up for a enchanted glass pen and a rig to make paper along with the recipe for the mixture and glue needed for it. I knew the screen would be the hardest so instead I was going to use a fabric to mimic a screen. I did this back on earth in the house I lived before mother and father passed along. I hoped to make a cheaper paper with the things native to our territory. The pen would be cool to make and use as it would be popular to those not wanting dull quill pens around.

I went to dad and we left to the guild. It was a good 2 hours drive to the quilt as it was in the territory to our left. Along the way was open to monsters and aggressive animals. The bandits were large in numbers around the middle area to. I expected to see the bandits either on the way their or back. I figured as luck would have it, it wouldn't be good.

And as I thought about that fact dad was grabbing a few knights from the training arena including the one I scouted. They were told their duties and we left. First brother went with us for the experience and
