CHAPTER THREE

Olympus was on alert after Zeus felt the death of his kin that watched over the head of Kronos. The plane of Olympus shook and quaked. A great crack split up the awesome mountain and lava emerged. The reality of the plane waned and wavered. The power that Zeus and his companions had over their realm seemed to be stolen. A rip in the plane appeared and a massive tendril pierced through it and impacted into the said of the great mountain. Seeker-titans ran along the massive tendril down to the mountain. The alarms of Olympus sounded.

"It's the return of the titans!" Apollo shouted for all to hear. Zeus hurled massive bolts of lightning at the approaching mutated titans. A second tendril ripped through the fabric of the plane and pierced another side of the mountain. Apollo fired his legendary bow at their enemies. The great White Eagle of Zeus emerged into the sky and swooped down upon the army of mutated titans, knocking them from the massive tendril and causing them to fall. Every Olympian god appeared to defend against the titans return. Hades and even Hecate appeared from their lower realms. The seeker-titans were formidable against a lone god but the Olympian gods worked together, even those that hated one another. A third tendril ripped through the fabric of the plane and pierced the mountain. The sky of the plane of Olympus was once a beautiful blue with magnificent white clouds. Now it was turning to an apocalyptic purple. Zeus felt the power of the otherworldly presence invading his home. Whatever or whoever it was wielded threatening power beyond any titan or god that Zeus knew of. Ares appeared behind a group of seeker-titans and cut them down savagely. A second group flanked him and a massive maul struck where Ares once stood. He had teleported in a blink of an eye from where he was to a new position behind the second group. Ares flayed the seeker-titans and watched them fall from the massive tendril bridge.

Hades wrestled with several seeker-titans. None of them were a match for his skills in hand-to-hand combat. Just when they thought they were going to overpower Hades, he reversed their holds and threw them from the mountain. The seeker-titans had one job; to defeat or subdue a foe until their father arrived.

Hecate brought even more hope when she sent her pack of hell hounds on the invaders and twin black orbs that obliterated anything they touched. The seeker-titans that were touched by the orbs disintegrated instantly. They became fearful but fought to their deaths. The army of the seeker-titans was suddenly dwindling down fast. Hecate showed no mercy to those that threatened her home.

Ares sensed the presence of another seeker-titan approaching magically. This was Olympus and all Olympian gods sensed any form of travel within their domain. He spun and stabbed his enchanted spear into the flesh of Kronos. Kronos gripped Ares by the throat and lifted him from where he stood. His feet dangled. Ares let go of his spear and unsheathed his enchanted short sword and severed the hand of Kronos that gripped his neck. Ares fell and landed on his feet ripping the severed hand from his throat. Kronos grabbed Ares with his other hand and squeezed tighter as he lifted him from the massive tendril bridge. Ares swung his sword to Kronos sunk into his skull. Ares screamed out sever the other hand but his strength left him in an instant when four of eight tentacles protruding from the face of of madness as he dropped his sword. The severed hand of Kronos picked itself up and scurried up his body and across the arm from whence it was severed to reattach itself. Kronos fed on the power of Ares, sapping all his divinity away. Zeus and the Olympians watched in utter fear as Ares aged into an ancient and weakened version of his former self. Kronos opened his mouth and devoured the body of Ares whole. Ares was not much smaller than Kronos.

"Hecate!" Zeus called. Hecate sent her twin black orbs streaking towards Kronos. Seeker-titans through themselves in the way of the orbs and sacrificed themselves for their father. Kronos vanished. He reappeared behind Hecate and clutched her by the throat, lifting her from the ground. His eight octopus tentacles writhed about her face. Her pack of massive hell hounds sprung upon the back of Kronos and bit at his flesh. The elder, seeker-titan let go of Hecate and she fell to her knees. She sent her twin orbs at Kronos while he was distracted by her hell hounds. Kronos saw the orbs coming at him and ripped his own flesh away as he flung two of the beasts latched onto his back into the orbs to slow their approach. The hell hounds disintegrated on contact with the black orbs. Before the orbs could regain their momentum, Kronos ripped another hell hound from his back and slammed it into Hecate to disrupt her concentration. She flew across the mountain and slammed against a wall.

Zeus realized that some otherworldly divinity was empowering his father in ways outside of the logic and reality that they knew. A group of seeker-titans had overpowered Tyche and Nike and pinned them down for their father to devour. Zeus watched helplessly as his father teleported to Tyche and drained his divine power. He looked around to his brethren.

Hercules appeared and slammed his mighty club into the legs of the seeker-titans that had Nike pinned down. He was the size of a mere man. The gods and seeker-titans towered over him. His strength was greater than most gods and titans however. Hercules grabbed Nike and they teleported to safety as Kronos swallowed Tyche whole. A fourth massive tendril ripped through the fabric of the plane and pierced the great mountain, causing it to begin to crumble beneath the feet of the gods.

"Olympus is lost, retreat!" Zeus shouted. Kronos swallowed the weakened body of Tyche whole and then looked at Zeus as though his time was coming soon. The remaining gods of Olympus retreated as their home capital crumbled and became a part of the plane of madness.

Hecate opened her eyes in time to see the horror of Kronos swallowing another Olympian god whole after draining him of his divinity. She concentrated and sent her black orbs streaking towards Kronos. Kronos spun around and caught them both within his hands. His endless army of seeker-titans continued to come down the massive tendril bridges.

"I will return and I will devour every one of you!" Kronos roared as the power of the twin black orbs disintegrated his massive mutated body.

The seeker-titans tromped across the Void in search of any seeds of life or worlds that they had yet to conquer and assimilate into their master's web of madness. They also began invading other godly realms and planes. After the fall of Olympus, the Forgotten One needed to rest. Assimilating an entire divine plane was taxing even for him. For now, his minions would have to deal with the assimilation process on their own until his strength returned. The Forgotten One slept only until he was needed to assimilate or in rare occasion, battle a great foe. For the most part, the seeker-titans could take on almost any level of god in existence. In their great numbers, they could at least hold off and or weaken the deity until their lord and father, Kronos arrived. Kronos is the most powerful of all seekers and now regenerated in a matter of hours instead of thousands of years. seekers are the powerful minions of madness that have been assimilated by the Forgotten One, personally. Mortals, immortals, beasts, demons, Devils, celestials, titans and even gods are among the beings transformed by madness.

Kronos had been defeated long ago by his children but over time he reformed after having his severed body parts scattered across the universe. He suffered a great fate far worse than his kin. He was an eternal titan and the power he possessed was an asset to the Forgotten One. Kronos was transformed, mutated and twisted into something even more frightening than he once was—if that were at all possible. He resembled a titanic version of his new master called the God Eater or the Devourer of Gods. Since Kronos was assimilated, the Forgotten One could sleep and rarely be disturbed. No deity was a match for the God Eater, Kronos!
