Adonis

"Adonis….oh so I think it is time for The talk!"

"The talk?" asked Zeph with his one eyebrow raised. He was skeptical about what he was going to say.

"So I tried to track down in the city, his shop, etc. And no I haven't met him yet. But here is the tricky part I think it's time to tell you.

'We have to make him accept you as your disciple '

"

"What? What do you mean by making him ?"

"It is pretty simple. He didn't want to accept a disciple, so we have to change his mind " Elven spelled out the sentence in one breath and then finally took a deep breath.

"Ah, finally out with the truth. I was feeling stuffed inside," he said to himself all the while ignoring the expressionless face of Zeph.

"So Boss, you mean not even we came here on your belief that he hadn't quitted warrior circle. We were even counting on your skill of persuasion to make an unwilling Warrior accept a disciple "

After a long pause, Zeph finally managed to speak his thoughts.

"Exactly, don't you believe in my skills. Come one talk less. I will figure out some way to make him accept you. Here it comes " he gestured toward the waitress who brought their food,

" Now enjoy the food. We will think about it later. "

Zeph was astonished by the positive confidence of his Boss. Therefore he too threw out the thought out of his mind and decided to focus on the meal.

After a well-spent night at the inn, Zeph was refreshed. He and Boss were ready to meet Adonis in his shop.

"He runs a weapon sharpening shop in the quiet local hood. We have to walk for about half an hour to reach there.

When we will be there, be sure to not speak unnecessarily, actually you already speak less. I will talk to him alone and try to persuade him."

Zeph nodded and followed behind Elven who was walking briskly through crowded streets.

They soon turned into another path that had less crowd than the main street. Zeph was still unable to remember the streets of the city as it looked the same to him everywhere.

Slowly walking by twisting and turning lanes they finally reached the shop's locality. But somehow the crowded pedestrians have been reduced to only a few persons walking in this path.

Elven was unbothered by the offbeat paths of the locality. He walked and stopped just before a shop in the middle of the street.

The shop was two stories tall with a whole structure made of wood. It was open from the front with various tools and weapons hanging on the window display.

Elven politely took off his bamboo hat and knocked over the door. Then by opening the door he stepped into the shop along with Zeph who was following behind him.

A wind chime attached with a door chimed the sound announcing the arrival of the customers.

"Welcome to the tool repairing shop. We can repair anything as long as it can be repaired. "

A lazy deep voice was heard from the deep inside of the Shop.

A tall man with the cloaked shawl over his body entered the shop reception hall. He looked over to customers then squinted his eyes towards the Boss.

"Elven?"

"Hahaha…... So you do remember me. I thought you would have forgotten all about your friends since you were running shop here."

Elven laughed and moved ahead to give warm hug to his old pal.

Adonis also smiled and rubbed the back of Elven warmly. Zeph noticed his left hand at that time. It was exactly a metallic arm with incredible life-size precise details.

"So what brings you here? In the Capital, I thought you were positioned in Gephyr city. "

"Of course I am stationed in Gephyr city but this time I am here on an important tour. Meet him first he is a young warrior of our corps 'Zeph'."

Zeph politely bowed to Adonis whereas he nodded towards him.

"We can talk more about it. The purpose of my visit lies with you. I'm here to discuss something of the super beneficiary to you. "

"Huh….me interesting. You came all the way for my beneficial stuff… Tell me "

Zeph rolled his eyes over the wording of Boss. He seriously started to have doubts over his 'Art of persuasion'.

After few minutes Elven and Zeph were seated on the chairs and Host Adonis was sitting opposite them making coffee for the talk.

Elven directly started the topic,

"Actually, I am here to recommend Zeph as your disciple."

Zeph suddenly found himself in the most dangerous situation. He felt like he was freezing in the deep chilled lake. All his senses were screaming 'danger' to him.

He found Adonis halted stirring the coffee and was merely looking towards him. His spine was tingling with the cold sweat of fear like a helpless prey gazed by the predator.

He tried controlling his half-paralyzed state and with trembling hands, he gripped the handle of his katana to get the reassurance of his weapon. But it did nothing to help his situation.

Suddenly, when he was just on verge of blasting elemental energy to resist the intimidating aura, it disappeared silently. Once again Adonis was casually swirling coffee in the jug and the only reminder left was his back soaked from sweat.

Elven didn't notice the silent test of Adonis. He only looked at him for his answer.

"No"
