Chapter 31: Wedding Gift

"Well, what is it," I ask them.

"It isn't here, we have to go to it," my dad tells us.

"And you'll need to be blindfolded," Pat adds.

"Okay then," Danny says, picking up the twins' car seats. "Let's get going."

Seth picks up Jenna's car seat and we pile into all of our cars to head to this secret destination. My mom instructs Beth to blindfold me and Danny once we're safely situated in our seats. I feel him grab my hand and squeeze it. I lean my head on his shoulder and wait to arrive at our surprise. We're in the car for only about twenty minutes before we reach our destination.

"Oh my god," I hear Beth squeal, which startles me and makes me jump.

"What's wrong," I ask in alarm.

"Nothing, it's wonderful," she tells me.

They help us out of the car and lead us a few feet before stopping. The blindfolds are removed and I audibly gasp.

"It's beautiful! I love it," I say in awe, while Danny says, "Thanks, guys!"

In front of us stands a beautiful three-story house with a wrap-around porch and a three-car garage. The porch has tables and chairs all around it and the posts are a solid eggshell white. There are light grey bricks around every level of the house and different shades of grey bricks for the roofs of each level. There are balconies on the second and third floors and plenty of windows. There is also a roof made of reddish-brown brick. If the front of the house looks so beautiful, I can't wait to see the rest of it.

I squeal and run to the two front doors with an arch above them to go inside but am stopped when Danny literally sweeps me off my feet.

"Gotta carry you over the threshold of our house as a new married couple," he tells me. I giggle and bury my face in his chest as he carries me into our new home.

Once inside, he sets me down and I look around the foyer. As soon as you walk in there are two half-circle tables on each side of the hallway with light fixtures hung above them. The ceiling contains shiny hardwood with a small light hanging from it while the floor is a beautiful marble.

At the end of the short hallway is a brick arch with stairs on both sides that lead to different parts of the house. Immediately after the arch and the stairs is a living room with a U-shaped beige couch with different throw pillows and throw blankets that are white and greyish-blue and different textures, such as smooth and fuzzy. In front of the couch sits a glass coffee table with two levels with different items on top. In front of the table is a cobblestone fireplace with a large flat screen tv mounted on top. There is also a ceiling fan above the table and two lounge chairs against the far wall of the room that have throw pillows and a side table in between with a table lamp on top. There are hutches on both sides of the fireplace with all kinds of trinkets.

My parents and Seth sit the babies' car seats down on the couch and we make our way to the kitchen that is off to the side of the living room.

There is another brick arch that leads to the kitchen from the living room. The first thing you see is a U-shaped marble counter with a bench within the U. There is a table in the center that the benches surround with a few throw pillows. There are marble counters along the wall of the kitchen with stainless steel appliances. There are an electric stove and oven with a microwave above. Above the counters are cabinets filled with dishes. Off to one side of the kitchen is a walk-in circular pantry stocked with an assortment of food. Another side of the kitchen leads to the dining room which has a wooden table and ten chairs around it, four on each side and one on each end.

We continue through the rest of the house and each room is more amazing than the first.

"I can't believe you guys did this for us," I say with tears in my eyes. I'm so thankful for our parents, they do so much for us.

"It was no problem at all sweetheart. We wanted to make sure you had somewhere you could live alone as a family but not be too far away from us," my mom tells me, pulling me into a hug.

"We can't thank you enough for this," Danny says, hugging my mom.

"This is our wedding gift to you," Pat says with a big smile.

I hug him and then hug my dad.

"I love you guys! You're the best," I tell them.

Our friends and their families join us once they finish taking a tour of the house.

"I'm honestly so jealous right now," Beth says with a pout.

"Yeah, can we move in," Brian asks jokingly.

Danny and I look at each other and then we surprise the others by saying, "Sure."

They look dumbfounded because they didn't think that would be our answer.

"Are you being serious," Jerrico asks.

"Why not? We could use the help and it would only be until you guys can get your own place," I tell them nonchalantly.

"Not to mention, we have plenty of room," Danny says, shrugging his shoulders.

"I think I'm going to faint," Ariel says, pretending to fall out.

I roll my eyes at her anticks and Brian says, "I can't wait to try out that gym."

"I have a confession to make," my mom says, interrupting our conversation. We give her questioning looks and she continues, saying, "I got you guys tickets to your dream honeymoon location."

I gasp and the girls squeal.

"You got us a trip to Bora Bora," I finally say when I find my voice again.

"I'm so jealous," Justice yells.
