Chapter 5: Babies and Girl's Night

*Jaxon*

Abigail Rayne Ramirez and Ricardo Ramirez were born on 12/02/2038. Abigail was born at 2:43 pm and Ricardo was born at 2:45 pm.

I'm sitting in between Junior, my uncle, and Aunt Jane, who has been visiting from Cincinnati since Thanksgiving. Everyone is waiting their turn to visit Auntie Beth and the babies. All the teens, except Rodney, have to head back to school after visiting. Rodney was allowed to stay the rest of the day to be with his parents and new siblings.

"How's Cincinnati," I ask Aunt Jane.

"It's good, but I miss home. I might try and transfer to a closer university," she tells me.

"We'd love to have you home," I say with a grin.

"Glad to hear that...Bean," she replies in a teasing tone. I roll my eyes at her use of my mom's nickname, which makes her and Junior laugh.

"What are y'all laughing about? I'm pretty sure you have some embarrassing nicknames too," I say, narrowing my eyes at them.

"Fat chance little dude," Junior says.

"How is it being the one in charge of the family business," I ask him. "Meet anyone yet?"

"Of course he hasn't. He's forever a manwhore," Aunt Jane says, rolling her eyes at her twin.

Him being the mature twenty-six year old he is, sticks his tongue out at her. Can't believe he's in charge of a business, let alone a gang.

"How are my favorite terror twins doing today," mom says, coming over to us.

My aunt and uncle roll their eyes at their sister, making her laugh.

"You can go in now baby," she tells me.

"Finally," I say with an exasperated groan. She smacks me upside the head and I laugh, heading to the hospital room.

"Hi Auntie B," I say, walking in with Meanna and Elijah.

"Hey guys, you can take turns holding them if you want," she says with a smile. She looks good for someone who just gave birth. Maybe it's because she's already done this twice so it's easier.

"How are you feeling," Mea asks her, going to hug her while Eli and I go to hold Abigail and Ricardo.

"They're so tiny. Maybe I shouldn't try and hold them," Elijah says nervously looking down at Abigail.

"Dude, just be careful. It's not hard," I tell him, showing him by picking up Ricardo slowly and carefully.

He copies my movements and gives me a wide smile when he has her settled in his arms. He's always looked up to me as a role model and I love that I can be that for him.

*Meanna*

We visited with Auntie Beth and the babies for a little bit and then we left to go back to school for our weapons training class.

"I just want to go to bed," Shayla groans obnoxiously, making me roll my eyes at her dramatics.

"Stop being such a baby," Jake says to her. She pushes his shoulder, almost making him lose his balance.

"What the hell Shay," he says once he steadies himself.

"Sorry not sorry," she says, shrugging her shoulders.

"She's on her period so she's a bit tense," I tell him, rubbing his back as I walk past him.

We all head to the weapon's room and we train with assault rifles which is the weapon of the week.

As seniors, our exams include going on missions with actual special ops operatives. It's a little scary but we have to push that aside or we will make a mistake that will get us hurt. That's why we have to train.

We put our headphones on that are sitting on the tables of our booths and then prepare to shoot at the targets. We sometimes make it a game, see who can get the most accurate shots.

I tune everything out and focus on my target. I need to let the frustrations of the week out and this is the perfect way to do so. Once I completely destroy the chest area, a gaping hole in the middle, I work on the head area. I'm out of it until someone places their hand on my shoulder.

"Hey, are you okay," Jen asks me with concern when I take my headphones off and put my rifle down.

"Yeah, it's just been a long week and this was a great way to de-stress," I tell her with a small smile.

"Yeah, it was definitely a rough week," she says, rubbing my arm sympathetically. "Let's go change and then go have a girl's night. Just you, me, Kenz, and Shay."

"That actually sounds like a very good idea," I say.

"Yay! Girl's night out," Shayla yells, getting some looks from others in the room. I just noticed that the guys are no longer in the room. They must have left when they were done with their target practice.

"We should go out to eat and then go to that new sixteen and older club that just opened," Shayla says.

"I second that idea," Jenna says, raising her hand for emphasis.

All in agreement, we head to our rooms to get ready to go out.

We meet up in the quad and the boys walk up to us with curious looks on their faces.

"Where are you beautiful ladies, and Kenzie, off to," Jake asks, taking a dig at his sister.

"Douch bag," she says, rolling her eyes. He just gives her a goofy grin.

"Girl's night," I tell him.

"We wanna come," Jaxon says with a pout.

"What part of girl's night do you not understand babe," Jenna asks him, raising her eyebrow at him.

"I can be one of the girls," he yells out, throwing his hands in the air.

She gives him a startled look and he realizes what he just said. "Forget I said that. I'm gonna go lift some weights now to regain my masculinity."

We laugh at him and he quickly goes inside after kissing Jen.

"Bye baby, call me if you need us," Jake says, kissing me and then going in behind Jax.

"Let's get lit," Shayla yells, throwing one arm around my neck and the other around Kennady's. Kennady throws her arm around Jenna's neck and then we head to Jenna's car.
