Chapter 6

Laguna's eyes couldn't believe that they were staring at a woman he had been admiring for a while. She stood in the door well wearing the same dress she had worn that evening. The dress was a long red spaghetti strap with a halterneck. The dress was made of satin. The dress had a split of the left side. On her left wrist, she wore a gold cuff and crisscrossing black high heels. Julia invited him in. Julia's room was brightly lit from the lights inside the room. As he walked in, the aroma of cigarettes and flowers fill his nose. He would remember these smells for a long time. Laguna finally had a chance to be alone with his secret crush. He had tried many times in the past to get close to Julia. But his nervousness always got in the way. Tonight he wasn't going let that happen. He would focus his attention only on Julia. He was so excited that he kept moving from seat to seat, trying to find a comfortable spot. Julia watches how frantic he was being. And she found it rather amusing.

"Take a seat. I'm not going to bite you." He was caught off guard by her choice her words.

"I know you being checking me out." Laguna didn't know that she knew he was watching her when she played the lounge's piano.

"I noticed because you always had a smile on your face." Laguna blush when she admitted all this to him.

"I love the look of your eyes, but now they seem scared." Laguna had nothing to fear, and It wasn't like she was going to take out his eyes and eat them. He finally relaxes, and they sat down and talked awhile, but what Laguna wanted to happen didn't happen. Laguna didn't put his focus on Julia like he says he would. Instead, he talked about himself the whole night. But Julia didn't seem bothered by him talking about himself.

"You see, I'm not much for the fighting. Even though I got to visit new places, but what I want to be is a journalist. Squall was glad that Laguna finally loosens up and enjoy his time with Julia. While talking, Laguna forgot his attention was supposed to be on Julia and noticed that she looked sleepy.

"I'm so sorry. I'd spend most of the evening talking bout me and forgot to ask you what it is you do."

Julia never expected anyone to ask her what she would rather be doing than playing the piano at a lounge.

"I want to sing." Laguna was stun to hear that Julia liked to sing, and he would love to listen to her sing and play the piano. It would be wonderful to see her do those.

"But my only problem is I'm no good with writing lyrics." Laguna thought that might be a tough one to conquer. And he didn't know how he could help her.

"But you know since I've met you. I think I'm able to do it." Laguna gave her inspiration? He didn' know what it was that he had done to make that happen.

"It's the expressions on your face. They told me how you were feeling at that those times. And thanks to you, I can now come up with a song." Now Laguna knew he must be dreaming. Julia was going to write and sing. And he will be the one to make it happen. They were looking at each other when someone knocks on the door.

"Laguna, we got orders! Meet at the Presidental Suite. ASAP!" Laguna was having such a great time, and now it was ruin because of another mission. He wanted to stay with Julia a little longer. Laguna didn't know when he would have another chance.

"We will be able to meet again?" Laguna wasn't sure, but he would try like hell not to miss this opportunity again.

"Of course. Your going be a singer, and I don't want to miss that." After Squall and his team finish watching the interaction with Laguna and Julia. Everything turns black. The next thing they heard was.

"Nex stop...Timber. Next stop...Timber." Squall and his team had finally reach Timber station. Zell and Sephie were awake and waiting for Squall to wake up. He awoke and was thinking of the crazy dream that they had all experienced.

"What happened? Did we all fall asleep?" Zell thought someone release a sleeping gas, and they experience some psychotic episode due to the gas. Maybe someone aboard the train didn't like SeeD members. Squall was so sure himself, but the team had better be careful in case.

"Is anybody missing anything? Do we still have all our stuff?" Sephie was concern that someone might have taken their items while they were passed out. But they had everything on them. Sephie was thinking how nice of a dream they had. But even if Squall thought it was a dream. It wasn't pleasant at all. To Squall, this person in the illusion was an idiot. Then another announcement came over the speaker.

"The train will be arriving at the Timber station shortly. Please make sure you have all your belongings." But for Sephie, she thought Laguna was so cool. Then Zell chimed in on the conversation.

"Hey, there was a Laguna in my dream too. And I think he was a Galbadian soldier" Squall was thinking, how could they all have the same dream? How was that even possible? But when Squall name all the people in the vision. The team knew they had the same dream.

"The people in the dream were Laguna, Kiros, and Ward." They all look at each other in amazement. Sephie suggested that there was no way they would be able to figure it out now. They might as well continue with their assignment, which was to contact the point person who would escort them to the resistance faction group. Squall would report this incident to the Headmaster when they arrive back at the school. Squall and his team exit the cabin. The train finally arrived at Timber station. It was your typical overcrowded train station. There are shops on every corner. As they exit the train, they intercept by a man who says something to them.

"The trees in timber don't look how they use to." Squall knew this was their person of contact.

"But why are all these owls around?" They follow the man to the next destination. Squall and his team hop on another train. They introduce to a guy on the train.

"So you are the one who will help us, right? SeeD's?"

"Yeah, that us. I'm the leader, Squall." Squall nodded. And then introduce the rest of his team.

"Put it there. I'm the leader of the Forest Owls." He puts on his hand for Squall to shake. But Squall looks at his hand and then looks back up. He wasn't here to make friends. Squall's team was hired to help them with their mission. The man tried to introduce him to the people on the train, but Squall wasn't interested. Then the man mentions the princess. But the man knew that the princess was taking a nap, and no one ever dares to wake her up when she was napping. The man convinced Squall to go and wake the princess. Squall was thinking what a bunch of morons who couldn't wake up a girl from her nap. It didn't make a difference to him,

"Her room in the last room by the stairs. If you get lost, ask the boys in the room to the left." Squall felt they weren't on this mission to help; they were being used as errand people. It didn't matter. They were still get paid for this even if it was only a small amount. Squall went up the stairs and saw a room to the left of the stairs. He thinks this must be the princess's room. He walks in a sees a woman wearing a blue dress lying on the bed. The train comes to a sudden stop, which causes the train to jerk. That wakes up this princess. Then she notices Squall.

"Hey, you were the one from the ball?" Squall looks at her for a moment and realizes that she was the one he danced with at the ball. What was she doing here?

"So you're finally a SeeD," she claimed.

"Yep. I'm the leader, and there are two others with me." Squall was still trying to figure why she was on this train. Then she hopped off the bed and jumped straight into Squall's arms. Squall thought the girl was going crazy.

"I'm so happy you guys are finally here." Squall was too busy trying to pull her off of him. She could be excited but didn't have to jump all over to him show that.

"I've been sending requests to Balamb for help for a while and no response until now. Thank god it was Cid when I called." So that is why she was the ball. She was looking for the Headmaster. But then she didn't want him to get the wrong idea. So she illustrated her other reason for being there.

"So you know Seifer?" Oh, this guy. What girl wouldn't be attractive to the bad boy exterior?

"Well, he introduced me to Cid. Cid is such a great man. In the beginning, I didn't think SeeD would come to help us. But I explain the situation, and here were are." She was happy that Squall and his team were there. Cause now there could go along with their plans. Before they left her room to go the others, she wanted to know something from Squall.

"So did 'he' come with you? You know, Seifer?" Why did she want to know if Seifer came with them? Did she like Seifer? If that was the case, why didn't she request Cid to have him as the group leader?

"No. He's not a SeeD." She seems sad by this remark, but what was Squall.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you my name. My name is Rinoa Heartilly."
