"Are you an angel sent to me to help me make good decisions?" She asked and he knew she was sarcastically making fun of what he had just told her.

He smiled. "You can do whatever the hell you want. Aren't you an adult after all? If you want to hurt yourself in the name of revenge, go ahead. I just don't want you to allow yourself to feel regret."

She had no idea how to tell him off. "Thank you for looking out for me."

He knew the last thing she felt was appreciation but that was alright. Nothing else needed to be said that she didn't already know.

Carlos was blazing in rage after leaving the hospital. By the time he knew what hit him, he was drowning his fifth scotch and there was a woman sitting beside him, trying to hit on him.

"Would you like to buy me a drink?" She winked at him.
