To her relief, they arrived at Sianna's house and they had to stop talking.

"This conversation is not over." He whispered to her in the parking lot.

"I know." She took several deep breaths, relieved she didn't have to talk about it all at once. He was staring at her, making her uncomfortable but she couldn't say a word in her defense. After all, he must be devastated by what she had done.

She rang the doorbell. "Mom, I'm home."

Sianna must have already heard her car in the driveway because she opened the door almost immediately.

"Carlos, you're here!" She hugged him excitedly as though she couldn't see her daughter.

"I'm glad you came. I missed you so much." She added.

"Is he your child or am I?" She complained but it was no use. Sianna didn't seem to pay much attention to her, focusing all of it on the man she thought of as her daughter's boyfriend.
