It sounded like a piece of cake coming out of Ash's mouth but Kara knew better than to imagine it was going to be easy. This was a little girl they were talking about. As soon as she imagined Laia or her cousin's stepdaughter Rosaly in that position, she gave up. "How could I do that?"

She neither agreed to Ash's suggestion nor rejected it, so the latter took it upon herself to bring the little girl over.

When she met the child later that night, bound and trembling, her heart shattered.

"Hey, sweetie." She coaxed the little girl.

"Kara, you are here to make her call her dad. Don't coax her." Ash scolded.

"I don't know how you and Shera manage to do this. This is freaking psychopathic." Kara took deep breaths and approached the little girl, freeing her mouth that had been bound by duct tape. She didn't think anyone was heartless enough to do this. She was only six!
