Fortnight (Part 2)

The seven watched as their father majestically walked away, summoning Walter as he passed by, to know the update on the preparation for the feast.

Just then, Sandra, who bowed until the King was away, approached the princes with a warm smile, as she informed:

"Breakfast is ready, your majesties," she curtsied.

"Finally!" Arthur sighed, famished.

"Thank you, Sandra." Adrien appreciated, because she knew that they barely had anything the night before due to their tiredness on their late arrival.

She bowed lightly, returning to the kitchen to have the servants serve their meal in the large dining room.

"Sandra," Theodore called, stopping her in her tracks. Sandra was an experienced woman and mother who had resumed working for the palace on recommendation. She looked in the middle years of her marriage, yet age didn't really tell on her, but the workers know and respect her for her wisdom, and authority as the head of the Kitchen staff.
