Flashback:
"Isn't that a bit too soon?" Abby said.
"What? No! " her mom exclaimed. Alex squirmed in her seat as she attempted to swallow the information that was just given to her.
"Mom. It's been only two years since dad died! Just wait for a few more! Alex is still a kid. Can't you wait till she gets into college?" Abby asked again.
"Look darling. I love Dan. I can't wait. I'm sorry " their mom said with finality.
"It's ok mom." Alex said and looked at Abby," if you're happy. We're happy. If you're getting married. We'll be in the front pew of the church cheering the loudest. If you need us. We'll be there. "
Their mom looked at Abby. Abby nodded and exhaled.
" I.. yeah she is right. We're happy for you"
"My girls" their mom said and pulled them into a hug," all grown up and beautiful."
Abby smiled at Alex.

"Yes of course " Abby told the man. She looked around for her sister. Where was Alex?
The wedding had just finished and now the reception was well underway. Abby looked at her mom who danced with Dan. She was laughing.
Abby's eyebrows furrowed. She did not like Dan. Their mom was too much in love with him while Alex was a kid. They didn't see him like she did. He was... weird when their mom wasn't around. She had caught him staring at her way too many times. She had also seen how his son looked at Alex. This made her uncomfortable.
She looked around and noticed that Andy was missing as well. Where was the slimy rat? Was he the reason that Alex was gone too? Her heart raced.
She began looking around and walked into the hotel, in whose lawn the reception was being held.
She walked up to Andy's room and knocked. The door was opened by Alex.
"Alex! Where were you? " she said looking worriedly at her.
"I'm sorry. Andy said he would show me something in his room" she said innocently. Abbeline's heart sank.
"Where is he?" She asked angrily. Alex pointed toward the room
"Did he do anything?" Abby asked Alex shook her head.
" we just entered the room when you came."
"Ok. Um.. stay here." Abby said and walked into the room. Andy sat on the bed.
"Abbeline?" He said confused, "where. Where is Alexis?" He asked.
"Why? You want to show her the 'room'? Abby snapped. Andy's face lost its color.
"I.." He started.
"Listen up you jerk " Abby snapped, "if you ever. Ever. Touch my baby or even think a bad thought about her again. I will hurt you so bad you will never sit proper in your life again. Do you understand?" She said through gritted teeth. Andy nodded.
Abby walked out and smiled at Alex who looks scared.
"Hey kiddo. I need you to promise me something." She said, "never. Ever. Go alone with Andy. Ever. If he calls you anywhere. You run. Ok? You run to me. Ok baby?"
Alex nodded. Abby smiled," go to the lawn. I'll be there"
Alex ran toward the lawn. Abby closed the door and exhaled a shaky breath.
Oh if only she could finish her college and get a job. She would take Alex far away from all this. Her sister did not deserve this.
Jake appeared then, "Abby? You ok? "
She smiled at him, "yeah I'm good" she said planting a kiss on his cheek. He nodded and led her back to the garden.
