I died... or I nearly died... I think. 

Now, I'm traveling to realms I never knew existed.

The purpose? To learn empathy for others, and how to become  a better person, all due to a crazy wish I made on New Year's Eve. 

Now, I'm bouncing from realm to realm at the hands of my hot mentor, who told me I can't fall in love with him. What a thing to say.

I have one year to learn the lessons of twelve virtues in twelve months... if I want my wish to come true... and if I don't want to die.

As the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for.

My Crazy New Year's Wish

"Liv, I'm so glad to see you here!" Fred said, wiping his hands on a rag as he walked out of the garage. "Where have you been?"


I shook my head. "I found out Mom had a Meth lab in the spare room, along with a hydroponic garden. I'm living with someone else now."


Fred rolled his eyes. "Please, tell me that you didn't move in with any guy, especially not that Slade character."


I shook my head, scrunching up my nose. "No way! Until I get everything straightened out in my life, I'm staying clear of all guys for a while."


He raised an eyebrow, smiling. "Except me, right?"


I chuckled and headed over to him and placed my hand on his cheek, looking into his eyes. "You're not a guy."


"Thanks a lot!" He burst out laughing. 


"You know what I mean." I shook my head, smiling. "You're more like my dad... but better."


He smirked. "Good save." He tilted his head, looking into my eyes. "So, you're okay, then?"
