Denial or Acceptance? Part 1

Soon, I arrived at the Northspring Country Club, Amelia's and Kent's coveted Club. I was a bit early, but I thought I'd get something to eat before Amelia arrived. Also, I needed to figure out a way to tell her that my father was a perfect match for Renn's bone marrow transplant. This time, if she stood in the way it could cost her son's life. I just hoped that her social standing didn't mean more to her than Renn.

"Well, here we are," Stellan said, suddenly appearing in the seat next to me.

I shook my head. "It's a good thing that Leila's young or else you'd give her a heart attack. Stop doing that!"

He smirked, folding his arms across his chest. "I like keeping an element of surprise."

I scoffed in disbelief.

He raised an eyebrow, his expression suddenly serious. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

I nodded. "I have no choice." Then I looked over at him and smiled. "Stellan, I'm glad you're here."
