Second Chance, Part 2

Soon, we pulled up to a nice two-story house and Shay was standing in the doorway. Her mouth fell when I got out of the car and headed across the lawn. "Who dressed you like that?"

"Why? You don't like it?" I almost told her that she had dressed me like this, but I knew that between my conversation with Renn and now this, they would think I went off my rocker for sure.

"Eh," she said, tilting her head to the side. "Well, it's too late to change into something else now. Come on in."

"Mommy!" A cute little boy ran toward her across the room. He had bright blonde hair and was cute as a button.

Shay swept him up into her arms and gave him kisses over his whole face as he laughed. "Jay-Jay, you're going to stay with Uncle Renn and Aunt Liv tonight while Daddy and I go out for Mamma's work. Okay?"
