Aaliyah POV
Katie wanted to dance, so I went with her. I was grinding Alex, trying to tell him that I want him. Even though I said I didn't want any. He had got the hint, but he saw someone. Before Katie and I went to the dance floor, I looked back to see if he was still there, but he wasn't.
"Hey Katie. Where did the guys go?" I ask. "First things first. Did Alex tell you?" she asks. "That he was a mafia and the whole story about me?" I ask. "Yeah. Well, that guy, his name is Luke. He is like Alex's massager. So, there's this gang called 'Snakes'. And I'm guessing that they're close by." she said.
"What does the 'Snakes' want?" I ask. "I don't know. Max doesn't tell me everything. He said it was for my safety." she said as we see the guys go into a room.
"Alex!" I call out. "I can't talk now. Just stay with Katie. I'll be back." he said. "Okay." I say as he walks off.
"That's not good." Katie said. "What?" I ask. "Alex and Max went in there. Just a minute ago, someone that was in the 'Snake' gang went in there." she said. "Alex did say that someone was after me. Do you think that's it's them?" I ask. "I think so. We should go." she said as we head to the door.
"So, where do you want to go?" Katie asks as we drive off in her black sports car. "I don't know. Ooh, let's go shopping." I speak. "Yes. Max put a lot of money in my card too. Yeah, let's go." she said as we head to the mall. Its only 9. The mall doesn't close until 11. We have time.
Alex POV
"Let's get this over with." I say walking in. "My friends will find me and kill you!" the guy yells. "Yes and no. They will find your body, but not me. That is if you can give me some answers." I speak. "I'm not talking." he said. "Well, I'm asking anyway. Why do your gang want Aaliyah?" I ask. "Really? You don't know? You're that stupid?" the guy said laughing. "What do I not know?" I ask.
"Her real parents are Carlos and Isa. Do they ring a bell?" he asks as I look over at Max to explain. "Carlos runs a huge mafia. One bigger than ours. Many years ago, his little girl went missing. He never found her." Max said. "Why should I believe you?" I ask. "Carlos has many gangs. Including the Snakes. He hacked into the assignment that you're doing and put that we are supposed to kill Aaliyah, but in real life, we're supposed to keep her alive." he said. "I don't believe you!" I yell. "Okay. Well, let me prove it to you. Let me call Carlos." the guy said. "Give him a phone." I speak.
One of the guys gets him a phone and ask him for the number. The guy gives it to them, and now we're just waiting. Until some picks up.
"Hello." a male voice answer. "Carlos. Its Sam." the guy said. "Did you find her?" Carlos asks. "Well, sort of." Sam said. "What do you mean 'sort of'? And why is half of the gang dead?" he asks. "We were attacked by the people who have Aaliyah. Do you wish to talk to the head?" Sam asks. "Yes." he said.
"If you don't have proof that Aaliyah is yours, I will kill you." I hiss. "Mm, you must be Alex Ross. I wonder how you found my baby girl." he said. "That is not for you to know." I speak. "Tell you what, I will send you something that is Aaliyah's, you give it to her, and if it is hers, I get her. If it isn't, well I'm sorry for wasting your time." he said. "Well, see." I say hanging up.
"Can I leave now?" Sam asks. "Yes." I say walking out. "Do you want me to have someone to watch him?" Max asks. "Yes. Wait. Where are the girls?" I ask not seeing them. "I don't know. Let me call Katie." he said.
As he calls Katie, I try not to think that someone took her. I try not to think that she's hurt.
"Where are you two?" Max asks. "Well get back. Now!" he hisses.
"Where were they?" I ask. "The mall." he said. "Okay. Take your girl home with you. I'll take Aaliyah to the other house." I speak. "Okay." he said.
What am going to do if Aaliyah is Carlos's kid? I can't let him have her. She's mine.
