New Change

"Aaliyah, it's time to wake up." dad said. "Why? What time is it?" I ask. "It's past 7. I thought it would be good for you to go back to school for the last night to say bye to all of your friends." he said. "Yeah, but what about Alex?" I ask. "Liam and some back up will go with you." he said. "Oh okay." I say getting up.

"Um, the last time that you were here, you were small. We never thought that we would find you again. I had lost hope, but your mother didn't. Every year, she would go to the store and buy clothes. Just in case if you ever came back." he said. "Thanks." I say opening a huge walk-in closet.

I change, do my hair, and wait for Liam. When Liam's ready, we and some other people get into the limo. When you get to the school, I end up scared.

"Hey, it's fine. I won't let him hurt you." Laim said. "Promise?" I ask. "You have my word." he said. "Okay." I say as the door opens.

As we walk into the school, people just look at me like I'm crazy.

"What's going on?" Nia asks. "It's a long story, but I'm moving." I speak. "No. You can't." she said. "I have to. Something with safety." I speak. "What about the dance team?" she asks. "She can still come to the school, but she just can't be at the school." Liam said. "Oh. That's good." Nia said as we walk to class.

"Who's class first?" Liam ask. "His class." I speak. "You want me to stay?" he asks. "No. I'll be fine. I'll text you my other classes." I speak. "Okay." he said as I kiss his cheek.

Going into the classroom, I sit in the same seat and go on my phone. Nia asks questions and I make up answers. My phone blows up when he sits down.

ALEX: I never meant to hurt you

ALEX: I just wanted you

ALEX: loving you wasn't a lie

ALEX: Aaliyah, please answer

Since I get tired of all of this, I text Liam to come in. Instead of him coming in, my father walks in and sits next to me.

"You okay?" he asks. "Now I am." I say leaning on his shoulder.

As everyone walks in, they all ask questions.

"Mr. Ross is it alright if I take over the class so I can answer your student's questions?" father ask. "I don't see why not?" Alex said not taking his eyes off from me.

"Who has a question?" father ask, and everyone raises their hands.

"Who are you?" John asks. "Aaliyah's father." he asks. "Why are you here?" Ava asks. "Today's Aaliyah's last day here so she can move back with me." he said. "Wait, so the parents that she had, aren't her real ones?" Nia asks. "No. She was taken right after she was in an accident. I'm not going say his name, but he was in love with her. I had the right to kill him, but I didn't since he was a good worker of mine. Last night, I found her and now her mother and I are more than happy to have her back." he said.

After class, I said goodbye to all my friends, all my teachers-besides Alex-, and packed all my things. When all those things were done, I went home. My real home.
