Old Darius looked at Edison, like he was finding it hard to process the fact that Edison could be this useless to him.

For the first time in so long, Old Darius wished he could make the lycan king feel more pain, but if he went even a notch higher, Edison would be dead, and the kid who was meant to save Udrad, would have destroyed the whole of Udrad.

It was a given because Edelmira was a kid created for that one purpose. To be the one weapon that Udrad could use to defeat Udrad's enemies. Funny how fate had brought the two kids together, only for the weapon against everyone, to turn out and be the weapon against Udrad.

It wasn't something Darius was comfortable with, and the elders who had been there that night were definitely never going to be comfortable with it too.
