I'm Leaving Too, Son

[ALANOR]

For the first time since they had packed up and come to fight the long battle beside Alanor, Criselda was confused. Her son was showing kindness by suffocating the lycan king and while she wanted to stop him, she knew there was no better way out of this.

"If you expect me to beg for mercy, then you have something else coming," Edison said and Alanor smirked at him, opening up the bunker even more.

He didn't care that the king was going at him, forcing him into a position that a sober Alanor would frown upon, but then weren't they already past that?

Criselda wanted to tell Alanor that this was just Edison's trap, and that he was falling into it.

However, there was something about Alanor's smile. Something about the way it was a halfwit smile and something about how genuine yet sinister his smile was that made the high priestess of Greroth give up any hope of reaching out to Alanor.
