"You will stay here with Ulrike and the three of us will go to Acrod to find a way to make things work. It's the only way out. Besides like you said, son, we have a long time and Edison will eventually talk.

"We'll just try and make sure that everything goes easy," Criselda said as she walked to her son who was staring at her disbelievingly. A part of Alanor had been hoping that it was all a dream and they weren't going to leave him here but then he knew that this was the simplest way out.

Criselda on the other hand, knew that they needed to control how the information was leaked out to Alanor, which could explain why she chose Ulrike, in particular, to stay back with Alanor.
