"Close it, before one of them comes with us," Edison said once they walked into the king's chambers and Nymeriah had no option but to close the portal, leaving the chaotic trio and Alanor looking at each other.

"Damn that was close," Edison said once the portal closed, while Nymeriah was still trying to catch a breath from what had just happened.

She had fought against the young Wynter and had been so sure that she would be dead. But then here she was, back in Udrad, the same palace that she had been held captive in for three hundred long years.

Oh, but Nymeriah felt like she was going crazy. She had promised herself that she would fight against Edison and yet as she stared at the king in his chamber, Nymeriah wasn't sure what she wanted to do to the man.
