It had been three years since Alanor's name-day ceremony and everything had been going well for the Wynter team. None of them could complain so far because it seemed like everything was on track anyway.

Over those years, the werewolf king had died and Grant had to take up the guardianship role on the throne. He was the only one the king had chosen earlier, thanks to Cass's request, and with the king dead, the young prince had insisted that his mate keep running the kingdom.

Grant was a good ruler to 'his' people but even that didn't still make up for the fact that the fates had still left him a mute leader. The universe wasn't done punishing him and clearly they wouldn't be done anytime soon.
