A Hit in The Heart?

[ALANOR]

"Fine, I'll listen. If you're wrong, I'll reinforce your bars with the worst compound of silver,'' Alanor said and Zafik just gave him a stiff thumbs up, even though he knew that this whole thing could go sideways, given heartbeats were impossible to control.

He just had to wait it out, and maybe, just maybe, Alanor would not murder the innocent warriors, right?

'What?' Alanor asked himself as he listened to the warriors' heartbeats.

There was fear on their faces and yet as he listened to their heartbeats, he could feel that they were slower than usual. That was something that Alanor had never known about and right now, he was learning that the warriors whose lives he was about to rip to shreds, trusted him.

It was something that came to him as a shock and this time, it was his turn to falter, as he took a few steps back, before portaling back into his dungeon.
