Flashbacks Part 1

Tsi Yi's eyes widened to the max here; he shot up in bed to grasp tightly onto SuFang's elbow. "What did you just say?!"

Mo SuFang pursed his lips and exhaled through his nose, regretting saying anything.

Tsi Yi felt his remorse and quickly loosened his grip, afraid the boy would refuse to say anymore. "I'm sorry…I'm good. I'm calm. Please continue."

SuFang hesitated for another moment before adding: "Han Xing Yue grew up with us, the third orphan in our age group…he was…kind of a part of our social circle…it's pretty hard to explain."

Tsi Yi felt like his head was about to crack open but he tried to stay calm externally before SuFang.

"After your grave was broken into, it was another two years before the first reported sighting of you alive and well came into the reconnaissance reports. It was an incident inside Faiyang forest. Do you remember? Xing Yue was…ne-nevermind."

Tsi Yi's expression contorted in confusion.

What was SuFang hiding again? He asked this to his best friend and the boy remained silent, his expression oddly awkward.

And that's why Tsi Yi realized, the Faiyang Forest incident must have involved them witnessing him being molested by Xing Yue!

FUCK.

His best friend knew to that extent about his relationship with his captor! If it had been in a public reconnaissance report then that pretty much meant everyone knew about it too! How was he supposed to ever show his face in the sect again?! Should he just permanently walk with a cloth over his face from now on?

He still even had no idea when or what the incident entailed, but Xing Yue had been forcing himself on him for as far back as he could remember -from virtually the first time he'd laid eyes on the man-

Oh.

Had that been inside Faiyang Forest? At the time, he'd only ever known he was inside a forest.

A memory assailed Tsi Yi's senses:

[Bark.

That was the first thing he felt. Against his back.

He was…propped up against a tree.

Tsi Yi's eyes fought against him as he tried to open them. His head, limbs, neck, hands…basically his entire body all felt incredibly sore.

Finally, he managed to open his eyes.

Long black hair.

He saw that first.

Then a menacing ridiculously beautiful, basically perfect, male face being framed by straits of smooth black hair, a single hair stick in the center of the man's scalp.

Who was this man? And why was he looking at him so intensely?

…and where exactly was he?

Tsi Yi had last been inside the aquatic biome inside the horticultural division of the Lan Xiu Sect, harvesting a very rare medicinal plant that played a crucial role in mitigating astigmatism. He'd been carefully snipping away at the plant's fine silk like tendrils when…darkness suddenly surrounded him.

And now he was here.

Tsi Yi did a quick scan of his surroundings: they were in a small clearing inside a forest at night. The sky was devoid of clouds and showed many stars down on them; he could not see the moon from his current posi-

Tsi Yi's gaze was suddenly pulled back down by a strong grip on his chin, forcing him to look once more at that handsome though extremely frightening man's face. He stared at him intensely…looking like he wanted to swallow him whole.

Tsi Yi felt fear rise up inside himself but ever the fearful, naïve, pacifist he asked politely:

"Xiongtai[1], do you need something from me?"

Anger filled the man's face. "What are you doing?"

Tsi Yi's brows furrowed; he lightly, subtly, tried pushing away the man's grip only for it to tighten, stronger than ever -Tsi Yi could feel the man's nails digging into his skin.

He finally reacted in irritation; Tsi Yi threw his arms into the man's wrist, severing the hold. He next tried standing up but the quick sudden movement caused all the blood to rush down from his head and Tsi Yi almost fell back down -needing to place a palm out on a nearby tree to steady himself.

For a few seconds, he only saw spots and heard moving sounds in front of him…then his hands were suddenly caught and he was being pinned up against the tree trunk again, his scalp hitting against the hard surface quite painfully in the process.

Tsi Yi's vision spun even more but he still heard that dangerous man's voice again, this time whispering into his ear: "You better stop the act Tsi Yi-"

"How do you know my name!?" he interrupted in panicked horror.

The adrenaline that rushed through Tsi Yi's body, cleared his vision and he finally saw the man pinning his wrists above his head against the tree. He was more than half a head taller than him, glowering down with malicious eyes that threatened less-than-subtle pain.

Internally, Tsi Yi's mind finally drew the conclusion that he'd been trying to avoid since the moment he'd woken up: this man, some clear psycho, had kidnapped him from the Lan Xiu Sect! Optimistically, Tsi Yi had just been hoping that whoever this guy was had just happened upon him after he'd passed out in the biome.

But that clearly wasn't the case!

He started fighting tooth and nail against the man's hold, managing to free one hand while doing so. Summoning his Qi, Tsi Yi tried striking the man's chest with a powerful palm blast -only to have just a regular palm land.

Wh-what the hell?!

It wasn't just the palm strike, he couldn't summon any bit of Qi inside himself! It was like his Qi core was completely nonexistent!

Now Tsi Yi was really panicking. He thrashed and flailed inside his abductor's hold, again and again to no fruition except just in provoking the man's anger even further.

His abductor suddenly roared: "STOP!"

Tsi Yi gasped, falling still in his shock and terror at the intimidating voice. He was never good with loud noises as a child -always shrinking in terror or anxiety when something cacophonous sounded- and even as an adult, Tsi Yi found himself easily subdued by just a stranger's fierce scream.

Was that actually tears forming in the corner of his eyes?

Tsi Yi hated how weak he was.

In a bid of defiant courage, as if just to prove to himself that he wasn't that weak, Tsi Yi suddenly headbutted his attacker with all his strength.

Oww.

He felt like his head had cracked open with the assault but at the very least, his abductor's grip slipped away.

Tsi Yi's vision spun around him but he still took off running through the forest at the fastest speed his legs would carry him.

He had barely made it more than ten meters before he tripped on an above ground root -damn his clumsiness!- before his body got covered yet again from behind. In a second, Tsi Yi was flipped onto his back, his abductor's long hair falling in a curtain on either side of them while their faces fell parallel to each other.

The man glowered down at him.

Tsi Yi still continued thrashing even with both of his hands pinned again, this time between his body and his attacker's. The man suddenly lowered his head to forcibly press one half of his face onto the dry forest ground so that his lips lined right up against Tsi Yi's ear: "I'm warning you. If you try something like that again-"

The threat wasn't immediately clear to him, not until Tsi Yi felt the man's palm slide up his thigh, wandering dangerously close to his groin, did Tsi Yi's eyes widen to the max in comprehension.

His entire body froze, shell shocked, as his glossy green orbs locked with his abductor's, ascertaining that he was completely serious with that threat.

Tsi Yi lips parted uncontrollably in his shock.

His attacker's eyes fell to his mouth for a second, then back up to his eyes; pupils expanding to the max.

Then in a second, Tsi Yi was being kissed with seemingly all the force of the Heavens, the man's tongue shoved fiercely down his throat and tasting every corner of his mouth.

You've gotta be kidding me!

He was still going to rape him nonetheless!

Tsi Yi's choked through the violent yet clumsy kiss (almost like it was his attacker's first kiss?); it stole his breaths away and made it hard to inhale new ones. Tsi Yi fought with all his strength to push the man off.

His mind went into overdrive when his attacker's right hand wandered straight into his lower robes-

An explosion sounded somewhere to their side, then a straight arrow shot towards his abductor. The man ducked his head and avoided it at the last second.

In the next second, Tsi Yi felt his mind pulled down by an unconscious array.]

Tsi Yi broke free of the flashback as Mo SuFang placed a comforting palm onto his shoulder.

"Are you okay?"

Tsi Yi couldn't even hear his words because another memory quickly assailed his senses.
