Chapter 1.

Queens are usually polite, orderly, responsible and more than ... They don't fit into my vocabulary. Now queens are not super-delicate seniors and all that sort of thing.

What happened?

Feminism, something great!, Girls are not for having a tea at four o'clock in the afternoon -according to the Internet-, neither do they teach us to cook and knit, or to have a good posture, even sometimes we are hunched over!, But sometimes I admit that I would like to, every day we have three hours free in which we are not training, or doing needs like studying and all that.

Lucy is reading a book right now in the place at the back of the long golden table, while Artemisa is complaining about the decision a few seats ahead of her, and I try to keep her out of it.

Why the little pines around her were now big and bent over me, and if it keeps up it will give a lot of work to the gardeners who just pruned them.

─ But I am asexual! ─complains again.

Don't think that we don't respect her or that we see it wrong, it's just that, it has nothing to do with it. Lucy slams the book shut.

─ And you're educated! But I have them too, of course Hestia has them too. If we're going to destroy them we're going to do it right and they're the only ones we could trust. Do you think I agree with this? In my seventeen years of life I haven't had sex! And oh damn, the first time I'm going to end up pregnant, it's going to ruin my life. It will ruin our lives. But it's the only way we're going to win. We will be the best. And you have a vagina that's good for reproduction, like me and Hestia, but you don't like either gender is not a problem, just put the damn thing in there and take it out, change and you're done, pregnant, you won't have to do it again. ─Y the queen has spoken. She had stood up and looked at Artemis from above, straight into her eyes and decisively, impossible to challenge.

She was red, oh no no no, Lucy, she was... How can I say it, Explosive, when she said something, it was done. Most of the time she took things lightly and when she took them seriously, you couldn't deny her why she had her ways.

─You won't want it... -Artemisa murmurs while her plants were growing, Lucy was ignoring her as she had grabbed the book again. However, in one hand movement all the plants were burned.

And who put out the fire? Well, I did.

─Artemisa, we have to admit that of the three she is the one who dreams the most about children, if you don't want your child you give him to her. -Not even my pleasant and mocking tone calmed her down.

Lucy rolled her eyes as she continued reading "One of These Days" by a small-town author, the book was recent but looked great. Books on physics were hard to come by because only in certain parts of the world was it allowed to cut down trees, most things were made of other materials, but wood was still essential.

Nobody said anything, twenty minutes later, we had to train, they were supposed to arrive ten minutes earlier but... They weren't there.

Lucy was throwing fireballs at Artemis' arrows, not because they were angry, -they got along great despite the different ways of thinking- but because they managed to make it a more destructive weapon. The bows shot out and hit the target thanks to Artemis' perfect precision and aim.

They had complained about how irresponsible they were, saying that they would not come even though they saw the hope reflected on Lucy's face, she knew that she would not accept it. I was more open with the situation and waited patiently for them to come, even though they said I was "stupid" for waiting and I thought they were idiots for not waiting.

─And? Who is going to stay with whom? There was the sunshine, the puppy and the cat. -laugh of his own joke Lucy. Even though I didn't understand it.

I wasn't very good at sarcasm or irony, nor did I laugh at anything, it was just a few times that I actually did.

I wondered why they didn't come.

─I think Hestia and Solecito look good. Solecito sounds cheerful, and Hestia is the nicest. -" said Artemis, mocking his nickname as she shot another arrow.

I rolled my eyes, they were so silly sometimes, but, I loved them, when we were in the process of change we were for each other as the time coincided

-Artemisa Jade, come in. -I watched a very thin, black-haired girl walk around scared, we all were.

She stood in the middle of everyone doubting what to do next, we had all done the same except for a few brave people.

I watched my hands shake, I had heard many people die and I could be one of them only my body took longer to respond, and these people, they are... Evil and perverse, they kill people every day or at least they die for their cause, and they don't care, they just make us sign a contract and end up dead.

-Sit down.    -If she didn't do it right, I would die, I felt bad. Like every person who had ever sat in that chair-you know what to do, lady-she closed her eyes and a little plant that was a cactus grew, and it grew.

It was huge, she was doing it...

-Good. You can sit with the others.    -I sighed, she hesitated and I smiled at her moving aside.

She sat next to me nervously, also shaking, I could guess why: Fear of death. All of us who signed the contract were afraid of it, but the poverty of the world, what it had become, crime and fraud.

I mention some of them, until it was her turn.

-Lucy Matthew's. -She did know it.

We had talked in a hallway, we were both scared, I had had a panic attack and she began to cry, we were only thirteen years old, neither of us knew how to comfort the other at that time, they took us to a room and put us on painkillers. Hours later we got up, and we talked about powers, until we decided...

That day everything changed, we were one of the best, and also, we helped Artemis to get out, when she had hanged a boy willing to defend those crazy people. We lasted a year traveling and depending on our powers, until we became best friends and created a kingdom when we were only fifteen years old. And each one of us contributed something to the trio:

Lucy the laughs. But if we talked about the battlefield, she always had the best plan since she is a vengeful person. Artemis was always on your side and made you feel comfortable even if it was hard to believe. Besides, she improves the strategies since she is a gifted person. And I balanced the friendship, neither of those two had respect or kindness, they were very impulsive and here I was to stop them. On the battlefield I'm like the mom who makes the kids walk instead of run.

─So what? You're staying with Solesito Hestia? ─Lucy brought me back to reality.

─Y You get to keep the wolf considering you're begging us for a dog! ─Al finally I raised my voice in fear when I saw them coming from the other side, as an arrow with fire was heading for Solesito that had suddenly pierced it, throwing ice on it and making it fall.

Everything happened too fast.

The three boys were open-eyed and impressed and frightened. Lucy had screamed and Artemis was in shock.

Until one with extremely black hair and eyes laughed, his hair was split in half, and he was wearing a black T-shirt with black casual jeans.

─Solecito! ─Laugh again ─ Dog! Wow! I feel... ─were consuming the laughter as Lucy repeated "Inhale and Exhale"─ Oh I don't know, what ridiculous nicknames! ─Artemisa looked at him in confusion.

─Are you the cat? ─The "Solecito" laughs at Artemisa's question, and the other one, which I guess is the "dog", looks at him with a scowl.

Lucy, looks at them confused, how can she be laughing, suddenly, she shines, like the sun, and dazzles us. Until it stops.

Nobody said anything, "solesito", he looked at us mischievously, he had a light blue vest and a white shirt with the first buttons unbuttoned and his hair disheveled as he had said before, his eyes were blue and his skin very pale. His eyes were blue and his skin was very pale.

He was relaxed and simple. We'll probably get along just fine.

The boy on his side was very different, now that I saw him differently, he was next to "solecito" when he was technically praising the moon, and on his other side was a cat - actually a panther - who, for sure, did not get along with dogs like that "they get along like cats and dogs" joke. The little dog had blue eyes and a thin, slim face, but his cheekbones were well marked, he was very white and his hair was very black. The eyebrows were thick. He wore a folded shirt with sleeves that fitted his muscles. His hair was combed forward and lifted from the front, it was somewhat short but looked good.

It was dark apparently.

I could only see "Kitten"'s eyes and black hair that looked good with her black dress, her cheeks were a little flushed and her lips were red, I couldn't see it in detail since she had almost all her hair on her face.

This one is not even classified, maybe he has black humor or something like that. It was harder to decipher when his mood said something and his clothes were something else entirely.

─ Well! ─ "solecito" interrupting the silence─ My name is Derek, you can call me solecito if you want, it doesn't bother me. ─Oh I didn't even realize that they heard us and I mention "Kitten"─ The dog is Auden, the kitten is Anton, I'll tell you why I feel like it and they call me solecito. I'll save you the time. I'm going with the white-haired one, You want the doggie, not the fire girl? ─Artemisa laughed while the rest of us were uncomfortable, why didn't everyone take the apodos─ well and Kitty with the one left over why because didn't say anything.

We all look uncomfortable, except, of course, Derek.

Lucy started playing with little fireballs in her uncomfortable hands, did I mention that she was drooling over the black and brown hair, the problem is that that's, I don't know, I think too close and she's kind of pushy. Maybe that's what she lacks, surely they end up together if life isn't unfair once.

I watched Derek who had a gold dagger in his hands, he was cute, but... No, I didn't like him, I had liked several guys, I had boyfriends but I didn't love any of them, I had hopes of falling in love and being happy for love, but... I was growing up and nothing was happening.

Lucy limited herself to admire since she was also very proud, she never spoke first or proposed, once, she liked a boy a lot, but she never spoke to him, when he spoke to her and flattered her she ran away, she felt guilty for months. But, if she fell in love with Auden, she might break something.

─We should talk to our partner─Said Derek. Lucy I raise my head with fireballs in my hands.

─And miss the practice? ─I question and he nodded. I looked at Auden but he looked at the sky. Then I look away.

Suddenly I felt... Weird, and I looked away from that boy who was staring at me with a crooked, creepy smile, his eyes were gills as if they were piercing you, and no one could see how Derek was looking at me.

No one saw the chills on my body either.
