Chapter Eight-Helena

(Note this is the same time era as the last chapter just from a different perspective.)

After breakfast, the boys packed their bags. They had told me we would probably end up finding Intel about her in the city of Auction.

There was a small detail that didn't sit well with me though. Lection was over the mountain range that separated us from the south. Ash had promised that it wasn't a big issue and that the south wasn't as bad as we made it sound here.

I trusted Ash and so we prepared to leave. As I left the house I could hear far off voices. Familiar voices. My heart raced in panic. They were looking for me.

My breathing quickened. My brothers had come looking for me. I quietly looked to the boys. " My brothers are coming let's hurry". I felt panic rise in them too. " Damn it". Justin cursed quietly.

I looked at him confused. He shouldn't be that worried... I mean sure he wanted to help, but I didn't know he would be this fixated on it. Something feels wrong... I thought to myself.

Yet I brushed off my insecurity and followed the boys to the south mountains. All of us carried a bag of our own essentials. We all also decided to carry our own weapons. The bow clung to my side as we traced through the forest.

This was nothing like when I was alone though. After we got away from the house our journey was filled with long talks. Soon though the night fell upon us.

Justin made the fire well me and ash collected spare useful items. At this time ash and I had a conversation. " So where's the bow from"? Ash questioned. I couldn't help but smile. " My mother used it." His eyes seemed to light up.

" I assume she was beautiful"... Curiosity filled me. " Why assume something so unpredictable?" Our eyes connected. " Well your gorgeous so I assumed your mother had to be as well". I felt my cheeks redden and he smirked.

His eyes shimmered as though they had won a prize and I giggled. I tosses a bit of dirt at him playfully and looked away. I felt his gaze and I met his eyes.

" What you looking at get to work"! I giggled collecting sticks.

That's when I heard him whisper. " Two can play at that game".
