Chapter 2

"Clear! Again!"

Someone was yelling

I couldn't feel anything. Even hearing the voices sounded like static. I heard a constant beeping, seemingly never-ending.

"Time of death is 23:12 PM on October 13" The voice grew quiet.

Everything was dark. It felt like I was miles away. I heard the far away clinging of an object being put up. I heard the doors close. I was now in an empty room. Lonely. I didn't understand what was going on. Am I alive? Why can't I move? Where am I?

I saw a light flash in the corner of my eye. A white light even in the darkness. I reach out to it. It seemed too far though. I couldn't reach it. I took a step forward, continuing to reach. I stop my steps when my fingertips. The light felt warm in the cold darkness around me. I pushed my hand through the light. A hand lead to my arm. An arm lead to my chest. A chest led to the rest of my body soon after.

I opened my eyes to the smell of antiseptic. I was in what looks like a hospital room. I looked at the bed in the center of the wall. A body laid peacefully yet agonizing

My body...

I was covered in blood. My body had been laced bruises and gashes. The tools beside me were bloodied along with tissues of my blood for a clean spot to cut.

I'm dead...

I didn't feel any more dead than my heart already was. It was her fault I died...He should also be apart of this.

Maybe this is better. I always wanted him to be happy and now, he will be...

A stinging pain in my heart began. It felt weird but it described my feeling.

I walked out of the hospital room. Walked out of the hospital. And slowly walked my way down the street walk towards my families home. I suppose since I'm dead, I don't have a regular home now...

My mother was on her knees crying out, her phone lied on the floor next to her. My father rubbed her shoulders in a calming manner however it wasn't working.

My brothers had their hands coming there face as tears rolled down their cheeks.

I walked up the stairs to my room. My bed sat in the middle of my room. A dresser was again the wall to my right, the mirror reflecting most of the room. There was a blue furry rug in the middle of the floor. The walls were still a light shade of purple as I remember. I crept over to the mirror. I couldn't stand the sight I was looking at.

What used to be my natural chocolaty hair was now a dark shade of brown with some blood-stained stands. My face, neck, arms, and legs had cuts and bruises but not as bad as my body back at the hospital. My eyes were a darker shade of blue, the gleam was also gone. The black bags underneath my eyes were completely evident that it was more noticeable than the cuts and bruises. The white dress I was wearing was blood-stained and torn in some areas. But the thing is...nothing really hurt...The only thing that did was the organ in between my lungs. It felt like the blood from it was just dripping into the rest of my now unmoving organs.

My thoughts were distracted as a sound came from the corner. There stood my brother's with tears streaks that lingered on their cheeks.

"Breaking News! The killer of Cordelia Stone had been caught after a 5-hour chase while miss Edwards had gone through emergency surgery.

The killer, Lyla Paran had been arrested and taken into police custody, now undergoing trial. She is faced with the charges of murder.

The TV was shut off by my oldest brother.

"That bitch took our baby sister from us...She has to know death lime she made Cor deal with" Hayden, my oldest brother growled. My 2nd oldest brother nodded in agreement before they left the room.

At least they caught her...
