The Plot

3RD Person

Chase and the 338th were in a bar on Coruscant with the 501st. Chase and his officers were having fun getting drunk with Jesse and Kix. Kix stood up and walked over to the refresher.

Kix was looking in the mirror when Fives walked in, "So, I guess the 501st is back on Coruscant." Kix kept staring at himself in the mirror, "Yea. We just got back from Ringo Vinda. Strangest thing happened out there." Fives walked up next to him, "Yea. I know." as he removed his cap. Kix turned to him, "Fives? Wow. What's going on? They say you tried to assassinate the Chancellor and that you're infected with that virus that killed Tup." Fives looked away, "I don't have time to explain right now. All I can tell you is, is that I'm being framed. All of us. Even the Jedi are in grave danger." "But What can I do Fives? How can I help?" Kix asked pleading to help his brother. Fives turned to face him, "I need to talk to Rex. Or...or General Skywalker." "Well they've been tasked with finding you. Just turn yourself in." Kix recommended. "NO. No, I'll never get to them. You don't understand what I'm mixed up in.It goes all the way to the top. The highest levels are involved in the conspiracy. I have to talk to General Skywalker and Rex directly. And...and if it's possible, General Tinguard. If there is one person in this galaxy who I know will listen to me it is got to be him." Fives explained. Kix thought for a moment, "Tinguard is almost impossible to find. The only person who knows where he might be is Chase." "Good. Good. Talk to him and make sure Axle meets me at these coordinates." "Look. I can contact Rex, but I can't guarantee he'll bring the General." Kix answered. "Ok. Thanks Kix I appreciate it. Here are the coordinates." Fives said typing on Kix's commlink. "Just make sure they meet me there." Fives walked out. "Good luck Fives." Kix responded to his brother.

Kix walks over to Chase, "Commander, can I talk to you for a second?" Chase walked over to Kix, "What's going on?" "Fives just contacted me. He said he needs to speak with General Tinguard. I need you to speak with him and tell him to meet Fives at these coordinates. I'm going to ask Rex and General Skywalker to do the same thing." Kix answered transmitting the coordinates to Chase. The Commander thought for a moment, "I'll see what I can do." Kix smiled, "Thanks."

Skywalker and Rex landed at the coordinates where Fives was waiting. They got out of the gunship and walked to the door. Axle then ran around a corner and ran into them. "AXLE?!! What are you doing here?" Anakin yelled half exited. "I'm here to help a friend." Axle answered, showing no emotion. Anakin wanted to know more, "Well how's Ahsoka?" Axle stared at him, "She's fine. We've been laying low for a while." Anakin still wanted to know more, "Well can you tell me where she is?" Axle again shows no emotion, "No." "Why....Why not?" Anakin asked confused. "Because we don't want anyone to know where we are. We don't want any visitors that will try and convince us to come back. And I would appreciate it if you don't tell anyone you saw me here. I am here because my friend is in danger and I want to help." Axle answered, folding his arms. Anakin frowned a little and looked down. Rex spoke up, "Come on. Fives are waiting for us." as he opened the door and they walked in.

They continued walking. "Fives? Fives we're here." Skywalker shouted. "FIves it's Axle. I'm here to help you." Axle shouted as well. Anakin ignited his blade and Rex pulled out his pistols. They continued walking until they heard his voice, "General Skywalker. Thank you. Thank you for trusting me. Have you come without troops?" "We have." Anakin responded. "Put down your weapons then." Fives shouted. "I don't think so Fives." Anakin responded. "You heard him. Put down your weapons." Axle said, staring at Anakin with a serious face. "Please sir. Please. I'm unarmed." Fives asked. Skywalker disengaged his saber and Rex put down his pistols. "What are we here for Fives?" Anakin asked. Fives paused, "I need your help." "I know you do. We know you're not well. It's been rough for you these past couple days." Anakin answered. "I'M NOT CRAZY!!! Please. Please just...just hear what I have to say." Fives said coming into the light. "Of course Fives. I will listen to you." Axle answered. "We're here to help you. Fives just come with us. Let us take you back to the temple" Skywalker said. A ray shield dropped over the three. "NO!!!" Skywalker yelled and banged on the shield. "Anakin calm down. Fives, I'm still listening." Axle says. "I just need you to listen to me. Please." Fives said. Anakin started to get angry, "I'm not sure we have any other choice." "I was framed. Because I know the truth. The truth about a plot. A massive deception." Fives started to explain. "By who?" Rex asked. Fives hesitated, "Well there's a sinister plot in the works against the Jedi. I have proof of it. I can prove that everything that I know is true beyond a shadow of a doubt." Axle spoke up, "I believe you Fives. What's this plot?" Anakin interrupted him, "Show me the evidence." Fives paused, "The...evidence...is...in here." Fives said, pointing to his head, "It's...It's in here. It's in all of us. Every clone." "What is it?" Rex responded. "Organic chips built into our genetic code...to make us do whatever someone wants. Even kill the Jedi. It's...all in here." Fives answered. Anakin and Rex looked at each other. "Let's just get you some help first. Then we can review everything. It'll be ok Fives. We'll sort this out." Anakin said. Fives got angry, "YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME!!!" "Skywalker shut your mouth for once. Fives, I believe you. Tell us more about these chips. Can they be removed?" Axle said. "Y...yes. I removed mine." Axle looked at Anakin, "This is our trial all over again. But this time, you're acting as the accuser." as he gave his old friend an angry look.

"Fives, we are listening to you. We only want to help." Rex said. Fives took a moment to think, "How do I know you're not tricking me? How do I know it won't be a trap?" Axle looked at him, "Fives, I came here because I wanted to help my friend. I'm no longer in the army nor Jedi Order. Why else would I come?" Fives thought again, "The Chancellor was trying to kill me. I promise you that." "The Chancellor?" Anakin said, confused. "He's in on it. I don't know to what extent, but I know he orchestrated much of this. He told me in the medical bay." Fives finished. "He told you, when you tried to assassinate him? You've gone too far Fives. The Chancellor is incapable of what you claim." Skywalker raised his voice. "Anakin, if you attack him like that one more time I will get aggressive. Remember I'm not a Jedi." Axle warned him, looking straight into his eyes with anger. Fives raised his voice, "HE IS!!! I swear to you General. You have no idea....." Commander Fox and his men emerged from their hiding place, "STAND DOWN SOLDIER!!! STAND DOWN!!! GET ON YOUR KNEES!!!" Fives turned around, "NO, NO STAY BACK!!!" he looked at Rex's pistols. "DON'T DO!!! DON'T DO IT SOLDIER!!!" Fox yelled again. "GET AWAY FROM ME!!!" Fives yelled and grabbed the pistol, but Fox blasted straight at his heart. Fives fell on the ground with a thud. "FIVES!!! FIVES!!!" Rex and Axle yelled looking at their friend. "GET THIS RAY SHIELD OFF US!!!" Anakin ordered as a trooper blasted the shield controls, deactivating it. Rex ran to Fives's side, "CALL FOR HELP!!! WE NEED A MEDIC!!!" "Rex..." Fives said. Rex looked at his brother, "Fives." Fives took in deep breathes, "This...is...bigger than any of us. Than anything....I could have imagined. I never meant to...to. I only wanted to do my duty." Rex started to cry, "Brother. Fives. Stay with me Fives." "This mission....The nightmares....They're...finally...over." Fives said with his last breath and died in Rex's arms. Rex kept shaking him, "No Fives. No Fives. Come one Fives. Stay with me. Stay with me. Stay with me Fives. Don't go. Oh....Oh no." The other clones removed their helmets and circled around their fallen brother. All except for Fox.

Axle stood up with few tears running down his face and looked at the clone Commander, "YOU...YOU FAILED TO PREVENT AN ATTACK ON CORUSCANT!!! YOU ACCUSED AHSOKA AND I OF TREASON AND ORDERED TO KILL US!!! AND YOU KILLED FIVES!!!" Axle's eyes turned their Sith red yellow. He ran up and punched the Commander repeatedly, throwing him into the walls and pipes. "YOU KILLED YOU OWN BROTHER!!!" Axle yelled and punched Fox's helmet right off. The others just watched. "YOU BRING DISHONOR TO THE NAME BROTHERHOOD!!!" Axle yelled again after continuing to beat Fox.

After slamming his head into a poll, Axle stopped. He looked over the beaten and unconscious body of the most hated person in his life. Skywalker walked up to him. Axle's eyes turned back to normal and looked at him, "I should go." he said as he backed away from Anakin and Rex. "Axle wait." Anakin stopped him, "Ahsoka needs to know this." Axle looked away, "I'll tell her. And Rex, I'm sorry." he then ran out of the building.

After Axle arrived back at his apartment, Ahsoka walked up to him, "Where were you?" Axle just stared at her. He sat down with her and explained everything.

That night, Axle lied awake in bed and thought about what Fives said. He looked over to Ahsoka who was fast asleep next to him with nothing on but a tube top and a skirt. Axle got up and walked over to his holo-transmitter. He proceeded to send out a coded message to Chase about the inhibitor chips and asked him to secretly investigate more and report back to him of his findings.

Axle then laid back down in bed Ahsoka lifted her head slightly and placed it on his chest like a pillow. Axle put his arm around her as he continued thinking about what these chips mean. He knew Ahsoka could sense his worry. He then proceeded to close his eyes and connect his thoughts with hers as they both drifted back off to sleep.
