Memory Loss

"Ah-Qin, are you alright?" Xiao Li patted the back and offered his water bottle to the coughing child.

Bie Feng backed away from Xiao Li as he was unfamiliar with this person.

"What happened to you? Why didn't you go home the past few days?" the concerned Xiao Li kept on questioning Bie Feng.

By this time, Bie Feng was very sure that this body belonged to someone else before he woke up from it and was thinking of how to respond. Seeing that Xiao Li probably meant no harm to him, he sat up and looked blankly towards him.

"Qin Ji?" Xiao Li nudged him and lifted his palm to check Bie Feng's forehead for fever. He seems to be familiar with the original body as the actions seem to hold a great deal of concern.

"Ah...I got lost…" Bie Feng awkwardly replied and looked at the young boy who is around 10 years old. Although you can tell from a glance that the quality of his clothes was low and is probably someone else's servant, Xiao Li is clean, neat and even had a dignified air around him.

"Aiya… how old already still get lost…??" He frowned as he helped Bie Feng stand up, his eyes suddenly notice the oddly positioned broken foot. As his clothing was riddled with holes, the bruises were obvious and Xiao Li's eyes almost popped from the shock.

"What happened to your legs and your body??? Where did those bruises come from??"

"Ah.." There was a long pause ... Bie Feng really had no idea either.

"Is it the stupid Old Huang? I told you not to work there already but you wouldn't listen!" Xiao Li looks so mad that Bie Feng wouldn't even be surprised if Xiao Li started spitting out fire.

That thought of a human child spitting fire was amusing and Bie Feng started snickering to himself.

"What are you laughing at? Have you gone mad?" Xiao Li side-eyed the laughing child and pinched his nose.

"Hurry up and go home now, I will drop by later to see you and Uncle Duan." he said before walking away from Bie Feng.

"I…"

"Hmm?"

"I hit my head earlier and can't seem to remember the way back home." Bie Feng looked at the ground and acted pitifully.

"..."

"..."

"What? How come so serious?" Xiao Li scratched his head and was at a complete loss.

"I'll walk home with you. Let's hurry as I need to report back to the Hu Family."

Although Xiao Li sounds very sensible, he is after all, still a child and he didn't think too much of the ridiculous reason given by Bie Feng. Along the way back "home", Bie Feng found out that the place where he bumped into the chubby boy was not too far away from civilization.

Tao Yi Village is quite big and has about 2500 people, it has a magistrate, 2 schools and a large number of farmland. The people here are mostly from farming and merchant families and the village can be considered prosperous.

Hu Family is one of the famous merchant families in the village and Xiao Li is the accompanying servant for the chubby young master, Hu Lei. Hu Lei is about 10 years old and is famous for having a bad temper so Xiao Li had no choice but to quickly return.

After making their way across Tao Yi Village, they reached a hill behind the village.

"Go up this hill and you should be able to see it. Don't make Uncle Duan worry too much. I'll drop by with medications later, I really have to go now!" Xiao Li sped up his pace and was no longer in sight.

Bie Feng sighed as he made his way up the hill and wondered to himself the purpose of being in a child's body. He was deep in thought while walking and accidentally kicked a wooden cart.

"Ow, fuck!" yelled Bie Feng. Nothing has been going well ever since he woke up in a child's body.

"Who..who is...cough..cough!" a weak cough was heard from the shabby house just beside the wooden cart.

He had walked in front of a house without even realizing.

Because it was the only house on the hill, he assumed that it was his "home". Although he has not seen the speaker, from what Hu Lei said about Uncle Duan being ill, he guessed that the person who spoke should be Uncle Duan.

"It's me." He gave an ambiguous reply without addressing Uncle Duan, so as to not give himself away.

"Qin-Er? Where did you learn to speak so filthily?! Come here now!" The voice struggled before breaking into coughs again.

Thinking about how he had lived more than a hundred years and had to be reprimanded like a child for just scolding a dirty word, Bie Feng's mouth twitched.

But he obediently went into the house anyway.
