Our Crazy Love- Chapter 8

Cherry seemed shocked before she pulled Lunex into a tight hug. With his head on her chest and her head on his, she whispered sweet nothings. Lunex was shaking again, frightened. Luna tried to hold back tears as she came face to face with the same conclusion of the night before.

Cherry held Lunex for a while. Drake came into the room and told them food was ready. He went back into the kitchen and the girls and Lunex held each other for a little longer before getting up. They went to the kitchen and grabbed some food. Adrian had gone upstairs o his room because he was scared of scaring Lunex.

"Where's Adri?" Luna questioned. She had gotten a plateful of food and sat at the table with Drake while Cherry got hers and Lunex's.

Cherry and Lunex sat at the table and gave Drake a curious glance. He shrugged. "Probably upstairs," he paused, "Lunex what happened earlier? You like, freaked out when Adrian touched you?" He accused curiously. Lunex shrugged silently as he looked into his lap. No one said anything for a while and instead just ate their food.

Adrian sat on the edge of his bed mumbling to himself. He was slightly panicking because he still couldn't figure out what he did to upset Lunex.

His stomach rumbled and he realized he didn't grab any food while he was down there. He got up slowly and went to his door. He made his way through the hallway silently but paused when he got to the stairs. He didn't know if Lunex seeing him was going to scare him. Instead of going down as he planned, Adrian retreated back to his room to avoid the confrontation.

After everyone finished eating Lunex ran off back to his room and the girls went to the living room. Drake started cleaning up when Adrian appeared. Drake sighed and waved him over.

He had made a plate for Adrian before putting everything away so he would eat something when he came back. He held out the plate of food to his brother, who took it and sat at the counter. He ate quickly as Drake finished the dishes.

Drake was handed an empty plate when he shot his brother a curious glance.

"So why didn't you come down?"

"Wasn't hungry yet."

With that, Adrian got up, grabbed his car keys, and left. Drake huffed when he heard the front door slam shut. He put the plate in the dishwasher and made his way to the living room. The two girls were sitting- too close in Drake's opinion- on the couch and contemplating what movie they should watch.

"Why can't we watch Brokeback Mountain?" Cherry pouted.

"We watched that last week." Luna chuckled.

"Ok then," she paused to think, "Twighlight?"

"Nah seen it too many times," Luna replied.

"Megan Is Missing?"

"No horrors."

"Love, Simon?"

"Nah. How 'bout Mulan?"

"Uh no," Drake said as he sat down.

"We can start a new series?" Cherry offered.

"Sure," Luna and Drake replied and then looked at each other.

Fifteen minutes later they still hadn't found a show or movie to watch. They searched through Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, but didn't find anything. They went back to Netflix and flicked through.

"Reign or Vampire Diaries?" Cherry asked.

Luna and Drake were thinking when they heard soft shuffling. The three looked behind them towards the opening of the living room to find a blanket covered Lunex walking in. He had his blanket wrapped around him and curled up on the chair next to the couch everyone was on.

"Vampire Diaries," he said softly.

"Alright then," Luna nodded and clicked on episode one of the series.

---

Halfway through the season, heavy footsteps were heard from the open window. Moments later, the front door opened and Adrian came padding through. The soft clanking of keys being set against the counter was the only thing heard in the kitchen.

Adrian took off his shoes and set them by the door before making his way to the living room. He said a small 'hey' before sitting on the couch and watching the rest of the episode with them.

The calm, relaxing air became somewhat tense and heavy. Lunex fidgeted in his seat and moved around to get more comfortable. He felt bad for reacting how he did earlier because he knew Adrian would feel bad. He also didn't want to say anything, he didn't trust his voice right then.

Instead, Lunex mustered up all the courage he could and got up from his chair. The was a little bit of room that Adrian wasn't taking up on the loveseat. Adrian was sprawled on the loveseat with one are and foot up on the back, the other arm on his chest, and the other foot on the floor.

Lunex felt his twin's intense stare on him but he waved it off. He walked quietly to the love seat and crawled up on it between Adrian's legs. He draped his body on the older man's. Adrian was shocked for a moment and sent him a confused look. Lunex snuggled into the older man and ignored the look. He gave out a content sigh and continued watching the show.

After the shock had dissolved, Adrian hesitantly wrapped his arms around Lunex awkwardly but quickly got comfortable. He hummed and drank in the warmth from the smaller boy.

From the other couch, Luna was grinning and subtly cuddled against her 'best friend'.
