VII: Yum

Lewis arrived just in time for the meal set by Grandma Star and Matthew. On the table was spaghetti, potato galette and garlic chicken. He is so impressed how they were all ready so soon. "Wow, you really have superpowers Ma."

Grandma Star laughed heartily. "Don't let this fool you Lewie. I just had some leftover pasta and I worked on a sauce. A potato galette is so easy to make seriously. The chicken was chopped and marinated, nothing too special about these."

Lewis gasped in disbelief. This was a great meal for him in a long time. As someone who is always has himself for most of the time. Everything Grandma Star served is absolutely wonderful. He kept eating food that were not too much on recipes or too hard to cook.

Simple, fast, yet delicious.

"What do you mean? This must be the best meal I had in weeks, seriously."

"Oh, hush you, come sit quick. Let us all enjoy this before it gets cold." Matthew chuckled. "It's about time we eat I am starving." He proceeded to sit down on the left side of a four-people table. He is beside Lewis. "That makes both of us." Lewis seconded. 'Wow, I can't wait to have a bite.'

As they ate, Grandma Star opened up her day. Some moments here and there and it was then shifted to Matthew. "How was your day today hon? Since, you made a new friend right away I'm guessing it went pretty well, yes?"

"Well yeah, technically. It wasn't anything special, same days as usual. Classes, introduce yourself and that's kind of it." Matthew shrugged. "Oh really? Lewis dear, tell me what really happened in class. You two are classmates, right?"

Grandma Star figured that Matthew was not really the talkative type when it comes to this kind of topic. She knows so well that he can talk all about his favorite game for hours and not get tired. Lewis replied. "Yeah, after his introduction, I guess everything went on normally. I don't know what happened at lunch though. But in the afternoon, it was pretty much the same in the morning."

Lewis suddenly blushed. The happenings from earlier came flooding in. 'Quick Lewis, think, think!'

"Ju-just the sa-same." He stuttered the last part. Matthew caught on the reason why. 'Whoa, when he gets embarrassed, his face turns entirely red.' Matthew smiled. 'Cute…' He then continued to stuff his mouth with chicken.

"What do you mean you don't know what happened during lunch?" Grandma Star is confused.

"Ah, we only talked during the afternoon when we were waiting for the bus." He clarified. Lewis added, "Then yeah, all of these happened next."
