Classy Associations

Klaus's POV

You should have seen the look on her face when she was embarrassed in Chemistry today. It was priceless. She set her own trap and fell into it.

I really did want to laugh at her but that would make her win. It was obvious she was bugging me only to get a reaction from me. But why though? Crazy huh.

I'm really good at playing games like this. For my reaction, she would really have to try hard. Maybe something pretty silly would make me react, but not yet.

After school, I slung my violin case on my back, picked up my book bag and walked towards my car. Oh flip! I left the new rosin I bought in my locker. I had planned to practice today and so I went back for it.

And What is this? My locker is well organised and so it was easy to notice the folded sheet of paper that looked like it was torn from a spiral notebook in my locker.

I grabbed it together with my rosin and left for my car and drove off speedily. In a matter of minutes I was home already.

No one was home as usual. I changed into my gym shorts and began doing my homework. Today, there wasn't a lot to be done. Awesome.

I took my rosin and remembered the sheet I saw in my locker. I grabbed and unfolded it. What was on the sheet took me by surprise.

There was so much hate on the sheet, wow. On it was a stick figure which I'm guessing was supposed to be me. Insults and mean names like numbskull, dimwit, geek, freak, goat... and many more were scribbled on the drawing in poor handwriting.

Who did I ever- oh wait, of course it's the pesky brown girl with the sharp tongue. Honestly, her skin was a quite unique shade of brown and also glistened like she’d fallen in gold dust just like my mother. Shame on her. She wrote like the pen bought her instead.

I thought 'queen bees' only picked on girls and dated sports boys in all the movies I'd watched because of Stormie. But this Queen Bee was clearly a crazy one. I know just what to do.

I take a plain sheet from a file on my study table and begin to draw myself in great detail taking me almost an hour to complete. I'm very good at drawing and I know it. After drawing, I re-wrote all the insults from the letter onto my drawing in my best handwriting.

At the bottom corner of my drawing, with a smirk on my face I wrote: "Only classy things attract me. Now that I've added a touch of class to this letter, you can re-address it to me." I sealed it in an envelope with a feeling of accomplishment.
