"I'm here," I said through my spy earpiece.
It's already 9 in the morning and according to my intel, Chris Liam is going to have an election campaign. He's going to have a parade while riding in the back of the truck.
"Very well then, finish the job," Dristan said.
With the use of this spy earpiece I'm able to hear anyone who's connected with this call and no one's going to notice because it's too small and has a color of my skin. I looked around and the parade was already starting. I don't think this is going to be easy, he has a lot of guards surrounding him. He's cautious, he does know that his life is in danger.
"Jabez. Be careful, his bodyguards were armed and he also had someone guarding the crowd," Dristan explained.
I looked around and noticed some suspicious people trying to blend in the crowds. They are wearing a normal outfit and a gun in their pockets.
"Thanks, Dristan. I saw them already," I replied.
"How are you going to finish this?" he asked.
"I'll figure it out. Don't worry," I answered as I turned off my mic. It will be embarrassing if Dristan finds out that I need someone's help with this. I grabbed my phone and contacted Lucas.
"Hello? Mr. Jabez! What is it?" Lucas asked.
"Lucas, come here to my location and make sure to bring something with you. We have a job," I said as I hung up. I cannot believe I'm asking my apprentice to help me, this is so humiliating.
"Jabez, I'm going to put Lucas on the line," Dristan said. My eyes grew wider, I immediately opened my mic.
"What are you talking about? Why are you putting Lucas in the line. I told you I can do this!" I exclaimed. That stupid Lucas sure is fast!
"But he just told me you needed his help?" Dristan asked. Great, now I'm completely humiliated.
"Whatever, I just need him to create some distraction,'' I replied, trying to sound cool as possible.
"Thanks, Mr. Jabez!"
I can hear Lucas's voice already, he must be in the line. "Yeah, don't get in my way."
I looked at I wonder if they will still support him if they find out how dirty he is. "Come here already," I said to Lucas.
"I'm coming, Mr. Jabez," he replied.
I decided to roam around to see how many guards he had in the crowd, when I felt someone poking me from behind. I looked behind me, ready to punch this stupid bastard. Whoever he is.
"Hi. Mr. Jabez," Lucas said while smiling and waving his hand.
This bastard, trying to act cute after he surprised me. He is sure trained to walk without anyone noticing him.
"What in the hell are you wearing?" I exclaimed as I pointed at his ridiculous shirt.
"I need to blend into the crowd," he explained.
"But don't you think this is too much?" I asked while looking at his shirt that said 'We love Chris Liam, We vote Chris Liam.'
"It's fine. This will help me get close to him, I won't raise any suspicion because I looked like one of his fans," he replied.
He has a point though, I can't believe this kid is much better than me. "I must say, Mr. Jabez, I'm super excited. I cannot believe I'm going to work with the first ever hired man of False Collateral," Lucas said while bowing his head. "It's an honor backing you up, sir."
"Stop that and get back to business. Start working your ass off if you want to be recognized," I explained.
"What's the plan?" he asked.
"The only thing that I need you to do is make a small open wound in his arm," I answered. He looked at me without saying anything, he must be confused. "I'll do the rest. Just run or hide after you finish your task or much better find someone who we can accuse so that you can run free."
"Alright, sir."
I looked around and saw Liam's guard spread out, they are acting weird. Did they notice me? I looked at my right and saw some of his guards walking towards me. "Lucas, do not make a move yet. I think I've been found out," I said, trying to look for an escape, but they got me cornered.
"What? What happened there, Mr. Jabez?" Lucas asked. "Do you want me to come there?"
"No. Stay where you are and don't make any suspicious movements. I can handle this," I replied while holding my gun. This isn't what I expected, but if I need to use this, I won't hesitate.
"Who are you?" the guards asked while pointing a gun at my face. I have enough on people pointing their stupid ass guns in front of me and not being able to pull the fucking trigger. I remove my hands from my gun and raise it as a sign of surrender. There are 5 of them and I'm all alone. I'm not stupid to act passively without knowing what the situation is like. They were about to take me away when one of them spoke.
"Wait!" the man exclaimed. "I think I recognize him. Isn't he the one that Mr. Manson sent?"
Mr. Manson? They know Dristan? What are they talking about? Yes, I was sent here to kill their boss. Do they know that too?
"Are you sure you're from that security service?" the man pointing a gun at me said.
I don't know what to say, if ever I confess that I'm from the Aegis Oasis and something bad happened to Chris. I might be called as one of the suspects.
"Yes. I'm from the security service company, Aegis Oasis," I replied.
I just hope I gave them the right answer. No one's going to suspect our company, because we have a good name. I just hope so. Dristan, what the hell is happening?
