Chapter Six: What we learned from humans!
Everyone was readying and Azhea woke up with the noise of the pack, everyone was excited and hurrying, they were all fixing themselves...
Azhea sat up and found herself in a thick brown blanket. Her hands had a bandage and she was on a pallet bed. Wondering why a werewolf has stuff like that.
"Where am I?" She thought...
Choven wrapped her in a blanket while she was sleeping last night, she was trembling in cold and Choven was giggling on the corner as he watched her struggling and slept hardly even if it was cold.
"Why did you really save her?" Old Khram asked Choven. He then turned around and sighed.
"I don't know. I felt something about her when I saw her earlier being chased by Kzhen, and it just happened! I saved her without thinking about the aftermath! I'm sorry for making the pack worried and panicked. I was wrong!" He apologized.
Old Khram smiled at him, "I never thought you would fell in love with a human!" She whispered and looked at Azhea, who was nodding off on the ground!
"What? Who falls in love with whom?" He chuckled, couldn't imagine what she just said, it made him laughed thinking how impossible for him to fell in love with humans.
"Choven, what you felt was love at first sight! You won't believe me, but your eyes telling me everything!" She smiled and left Choven.
He didn't know if he was going to laugh or what.
"Really? Do love at first sight as what humans believe exist with us?" He thought and stared at Azhea, who was snoring while her arms were wrapped on her feet, making herself warm.
"Haha, Urgh! What a snore!" He whispered and he was tickling in his innermost.
He slowly removed her in the chain and carried Azhea to his room, a cave, and laid her down on the pallet bed. He went outside and went to another cave where all of their things were there and grabbed a blanket for her. He wrapped it to her and he couldn't believe that there was a human sleeping in his room. He shapeshifted into a wolf and slept on the ground since his body can overcome the frostiness.
Azhea got up and realized that she was inside a cave, and when she went outside, she didn't know what to think about the people around her. She was confused if they were all werewolves or humans. They were all dressed up and everyone was looking good like normal people.
"What are these people?" She whispered, keeping her eyes affixed at them.
"They are like ordinary people like you, isn't it?" Choven whispered beside her, and Azhea rolled her eyes.
"Who cares what they looked like when they changed into humans! You were all beasts after all, and nothing can change that fact." She glared at him, and but then the moment she turned her head and eyes at him, she was stunned.
He was looking good with his so manly outfit, and then she realized that he was actually gigantic and too manly-looking! His cheekbones were perfect and his eyelashes were longer than girls. Everygirls would envy it for sure. He also has broad shoulders and most of all unique yellowish yet brown eyes.
She gulped and felt strange nervous as she glanced at him. She felt butterflies on her stomach and couldn't control the amazement she felt towards him.
"How could a half-human and half-wolf be this handsome or too perfect-looking from head to toe! And honestly, every girl would wish to have him. They would surely want to be their children's father, except for me and of course, the ones like me? Haha! I didn't really care about 'LOOKS', it was last on my list but it doesn't really matter for me, he was just that charming enough that I couldn't deny that he was stunning. But unlucky them to fall for him, because he couldn't give that! He was not a human being." She imagined, and her eyes were glued on him. For her, her crazy female classmates would surely not tedious to stare at him day-to-day.
She gritted her teeth, wanting to smack herself on the way she rated his physical looks. She has to stay aware that they were a werewolf, who also ate humans.
"Why are they all dressed up as ordinary people? As if they will go to the city." She groaned and Choven smirked, "Exactly! We mixed up with people sometimes and no one even knows what exactly are we! Pretty cool, right? He winked at her. But she couldn't understand why do they had to do it.
" You were pretending to be normal and go to our place but why?" She widened her eyes, feeling curious.
Choven explained everything to her, that they were only learning what humans do for protection! What they could do and couldn't do. Once they turned 15 they were able to visit where humans were living.
They would discover and apply everything they do and know. And even driving, that was why they effortlessly hid Azhea's car in a safe place where people couldn't see nor found it.
"But why?" Azhea asked.
"To protect ourselves from your kind. Knowing what you can't and can not are our advantage." He answered immediately as he swiveled his sights on her, serious yet not looking spooky.
Azhea never imagined that they were that intelligent, but she was afraid that she would really live her life with them, they were smart and that made her thought clearly that it would be hard for her to escape.
"We have to go, sir." A young man said to him.
"Wait!" He said.
"Here, and please, drop the sir, okay?" he smiled, rubbed his head, and gave them money for their travel. They would wander there to learn but each of them should carry a knowledgeable werewolf who knew everything about humans, what they should not do, and must do.
"I couldn't believe you also have money!" Azhea laughed at him but deep inside her was a great adoration. She never expected things like that.
"Haha, you don't know anything about us." Choven chuckled until a truck came out from a cave. It was huge and Azhea was speechless.
"You even have a truck!" She whispered and was stunned, while Choven couldn't stop laughing inside him, seeing Azhea's face was some great entertainment for him.
"Yeah! Not only humans do business but also our species." He winked when Azhea looked at him.
"Business?" She whispered in a very low confusing voice.
"Yeah! Wanna see it?!" He said but Azhea couldn't understand what he meant.
"You don't get it?! Well, I'm glad you didn't run! You learned your lesson hah?!" He chuckled and grabbed her hands, they went to a place where all creatures were helping each other to plant something which humans bought for their leaving. Random vegetables were taken care of by them and sell them to humans.
"You also do planting?" She said.
"Yeah! Thanks to humans. We learned everything. Well, it was hard to travel to your place and inspect humans without money, so we got no choice. But sad for you. You live in a place where everything was controlled by money and power." He answered as he stared at the animals and werewolves who were on their human forms, helping each other.
Everything that was happening at the moment was surprising for Azhea. She couldn't talk anymore about their kind. The way they think and protect themselves from humans. They were all incredible. But then she couldn't understand the sense of all of it.
