She blurted out, her eyes wide.

He went still and dropped to his kneels in front of her.

"What?"

"That is right. I am carrying your child, Malik. We will be a little family." She said, hoping with all her heart that this was enough.

When he said nothing, she moved closer to him, curled her hands around his neck and kissed him.

Carefully, like she was testing the waters.

He kissed her back, fiercely in fact. It took her up so many clouds but then a sharp pain in her stomach brought her right down all those clouds.

He pulled away from her, then she looked down at her stomach where he had dug the dagger into before looking back at his blank face.

"My...Dark one." She said heavily, a hot tear rolled down her cheek.

Blood spilled out of her mouth as he pulled out the dagger. Her breathing was sharp and heavy as she fell on her back.

All her life flashed before her eyes, so quickly yet she felt as she lived from one memory to another.
