Chapter 157 - Unmask before Alusa

They soon got to a stop outside Alusa. This river was connected to the Death Bridge. Although the actual Death Bridge with violent waves was still far away.

This was the far less deadlier side of the Death Bridge water.

They sky was still filled with stars and the moon that reflected on the water when they pulled the boat ashore, finally picking a place to pass the night.

They checked around for wild animals, ensuring that it was safe.

Then with the things in Aliyah's bag and the small amount of dry wood they could find, they were able to set a small fire to keep then warm.

Also tend to Aaron who was now awake, although still very weak.

They ate out of the little they had carried and laid themselves down to catch some sleep.

All without saying a word to each other.

Aaron had not been awake long enough to know that something was off.

They laid by the fire, backs turned to each other while they awaited daybreak.
