Clara had not thrown herself in sadness with the news, instead she had quickly rushed down the stairs in search of a bird.

Klaus had met her halfway and she had told him what she was searching for.

In no time, he fetched her a good bird, and she got a bottle of ink, a quill, a piece of paper and a tiny message container.

Lady Diamant had told her that before Lewis left, he had conveyed his intention about his high possibility of staying in Skull's Dwelling and never coming back.

Clara was terrified of that thought for different reasons.

Shs was afraid that if the fight in Skill's Dwelling was as serious as she had heard from some of the palace maids, Lewis might not survive or if he did, he might be badly injured.

If he died, then how would she live the rest of her life without him by her side?

She would forever blame herself for his death.
