Jide didn't know what fate laid ahead of him, and with every passing moment he was terrified to find out. 


Why hadn't this happened when he wanted to take his life? Why now? Why now that he was determined to live it out and become someone worthy enough to go back home? Why now that he already had his Mother's forgiveness and had a family to return to. 


Although blindfolded, he could still tell a little of what was happening around him. He could feel the carriage swaying from let to right, and although the carriage was quiet, he knew that he wasn't alone. 


The people who had come to take him were in the carriage too.
