I stared at the plants here in the garden. I haven’t gotten over the events from yesterday. What’s with yesterday anyway? Was it World Kissing Day? But why did I agree? I groaned and just focused on the sky.

“Hija, eat some snacks.” Manang greeted me. I saw her come towards me, carrying a small plate of steamed rice cakes, and a glass of water.

I just returned my gaze to the passing clouds in the sky. I don’t think I can eat right now. “No, thank you, Manang, Please eat with Mang Jun,” I deflected.

I felt her sit beside me and heard that she placed the food on the coffee table. “Are you okay, hija? You barely ate during your breakfast and lunch a while ago.” Manang asked me softly.

I sighed. “I don’t know, Manang. I’m shocked and confused.”

“Where?”
