We were both quiet in the golf cart on the way back to the house. I forced myself to not think about the events a while ago but it kept on replaying in my head like a broken DVD. I don't look at him, and I don't want to look at him. I needed to remove the recent events from my head so I could function immediately.
I felt that he glanced at me and suddenly laughed. I looked at him with a questioning look.
"What? You look like a tomato - red all over." He forced an explanation.
I averted my eyes from him. "Why? Why do you care if I look red?" I said, grumpy.
He chuckled. "Nothing! You actually look cute when you're re and not serious. It's a good look on you!"
When we arrived, we saw Manang and Mang Jun relaxin on native rattan rocking chairs on the porch. They were drinking something hot, even if the weather was already hot. When Jerk-Stalker parked, I immediately went down the golf cart, smiled tightly at the couple, and ran to my room.
