If I had the choice and the guts to skip class, I would. Unfortunately, I took my education seriously, so even though my mouth was dry and my knees shook continuously, I went to school the next day.
Angelo instantly turned my way while I tried to avoid eye contact. I sat on my seat. I could feel a prickling sensation in my neck. He was staring at me. I was sure of it.
I massaged my temples as my head throbbed. I had a rough night. What Angelo said kept ringing in my ears. The image of him kissing my hand also got stuck in my mind.
"..You like me."
"..You like me."
"..You like me."
My cheeks turned hot. I scowled to myself.
I don't want to get hurt again. And most importantly, I don't want to ruin our friendship. We just got reconnected somehow.
I sighed heavily.
I couldn't help it. I stole a glimpse of Angelo. He noticed me. He was about to say something, but I immediately looked away. Sofia approached me.
"Good morning," she said.
