Lydia's POV
"Lydia, darling, where were you? Julia had called me almost 10 times. We were so worried about you." My mother said as she walked towards me.
I gave her a sheepish smile.
"Hehe. Julia just takes a lot of time with her friends before driving back home. And, I was in a hurry because I really wanted to cook something tonight. That's why I came back via bus." I told my mom to which she sighed.
"You could always take your own car to highschool." My father suggested as everyone seated themselves. "Yeah. I guess, I'll do that from tomorrow." I said to him.
We all soon headed to the dining room as I conversed with all the ladies. We were currently talking about the upcoming fashion show our families were invited in.
"Oh darling. You must attend the show with me this time. I will not allow you to sulk in your room." Said Clara, Blake and Alissa's mother.
"But, getting ready takes the life out of me." I whined to which Alissa scowled.
"I will not accept a 'no' as an answer. You will come with us." Said Clara.
"Yes, Lydia. We can have all those amazing meals in the after party." Reminded Julia to which I smirked a little. "Alright, you had me there. I'll come. It's been a long time since we met Rosie anyways." I said.
Rosie was a model for various brands and a dear friend of mine and well, my whole family's. She was an angel and she served as a mentor for me too. She was 22 currently while all of us were obviously 17.
Apart from my father's business, I had always been rather interested in modelling. I just never had much confidence to participate in events.
I mean, what if I trip on the runway?
I could never collect myself like those graceful models do after they trip. Man I need to work on my confidence.
Soon enough, all the maids served dinner. Everyone here was aware that I was a good cook. Everyone loved my cooking. Even Blake did.
Although I hadn't looked at him at all this evening, not even once, I was hyperaware of how he glanced at me from time to time.
I was also secretly excited to watch his reaction on how he liked my dishes from tonight.
We were served our food and I patiently waited for everyone to serve themselves before me. I anticipated their reactions. Everyone knew I liked to see their reactions on how they liked my food.
I looked at Eddard, Blake's father, who took the first bite. He knew I was watching him. He looked at me and shot me a bright smile.
"Delicious as always. You've done a great job again, daughter." He said to which I grinned like a Cheshire cat.
Eddard and Clara treated me as their own daughter. And it wasn't a surprise to hear words of endearment for me from their mouths.
I then looked at Blake, who had a satisfied look on his face, causing my heart to flutter. I looked at my father, Andrew and my mother, Cersei as they grinned and nodded at me as an appreciation.
I looked at Alissa who gave me a chef's kiss then at Julia who was busy stuffing her face with mozzarella sticks and lasagna as she gave a thumbs-up.
We then had our dinner in a jolly mood, as I forgot about Blake's hurtful words.
It was at 9pm when the family left and I decided to go back to my room and watch some movie.
The next was Wednesday, meaning I had my PE lecture today. I quickly changed into my t-shirt and shorts. There were 2 batches having PE lecture together.
My heart dropped as I looked at Blake standing with his friends. I felt very embarrassed in these clothes. The shorts stopped just above my mid things and the t-shirt was too tight near my boobs.
I quickly blended with the crowd to hide from his view. Our yesterday's conversation was embarrassing enough for me, I do not need him to think that I'm fat.
The coach blew his whistle to quiet everyone down. "We will start with running laps. Form 2 lines, 1 for boys and the other for girls." The coach instructed and we all moved to get into two lines.
I stood behind Jasmine, my chemistry partner. We both shared a smile before she went back to talking to her friends.
The coach blew the whistle three times and everyone started running.
I would say that I wasn't that bad at running. Although, others were better than I probably was. By the 5th lap I was panting and I had considerably slowed down. Blake on the other hand was perfectly fine.
One of the boy from the boys' group came and looked at me with a teasing glance.
He was handsome with his blue eyes and blonde hair. He had a good physique and was almost as tall as Blake.
I recognized him almost instantly, he was the new guy. His name is Jacob.
"Tired already?" He asked me, a small smirk planted on his face.
I smiled awkwardly at him as he slowed his pace to match me. "A little." I said to which he gave me a cheeky smile.
Cute.
"Well, what round are you on?" He asked me as he swiftly looked forward during his jog. "6th one just started. What about you?"
"8th just started. Well fair lady, I shall take my leave now. I have to beat my friends in completing the run before them." He said to me, throwing me a cute wink and running away.
I looked at a couple of girls who gave me glares. Guess someone or shall I say a lot of them have a small crush on Jacob.
I sighed and pushed myself to reach the finish line sooner.
As I finished, I went and sat on the bleachers with other students, chugging water.
"You should not drink so much water directly after your run." Said Blake's deep voice from behind me, causing me to almost choke on water. I quickly turned around to see him sitting with Georgia and shrugged.
"Hey, I forgot to ask what your name was." Said Jacob as he jogged towards me.
"And who might you be?" Asked Blake to Jacob as Jacob sat next to me.
