Chapter 14
The Bow Hero was aiming for Sozen.
"How dare you kidnap the princess!" He said
"Kidnap? This is a misunderstanding!" Lily said
"Relax princess, we came to save you" The mage said
"No! I came here for-" Lily was interrupted
"Hand her to us!" The Bow Hero said
"Oh? Now you're saying she's an object?" Sozen said
"J-Just give her back!" He said
"Why don't you come here?" Sozen said
"You bastard!" The Bow Hero jumped something and smiled "Did you think we didn't know?" He cut a rope and a log flew behind him.
"What? Oh I knew already" Sozen smiled
Suddenly another log flew by and hit The Bow Hero, he got swung to a tree.
"What?!" Katsuo said
"You disappoint me Katsuo" Kou said "I thought you were a better person"
"W-what are you talking about?" He said nervous
"Oh? Did we ruin the plan to betray The Resistance" Sozen said
Katsuo looked nervous. "T-They're lying Mika!"
Mika sighed "This is why you are still an apprentice" Mika said "Someone who betrays his own allies doesn't deserve to be a soldier nor a commander"
"W-wait!" Katsuo said "Y-You would believe someone like him!" He pointed at Sozen
Sozen slowly walked up to him, while in the background The Bow Hero and his allies were triggering traps.
"You're right.." Sozen said serious "I'm an untrustworthy person, but..." He pulled his sword out "I wouldn't betray my friends, allies nor my family." He pointed his sword at him "Even If it meant that I would die"
"S-so what? You're gonna kill me?" Katsuo said nervous
"No, the princess will decide later" Sozen walked back to the Bow Hero.
They already triggered all the traps.
"You can't run anymore thief!" The Bow Hero said
"What's your name?" Sozen said
"Ha, a thief like you doesn't deserve a name of a Divi-" The warrior said
"Rokuro Fujimoto" He said "And you?"
"Sozen Mishushima" He said
"Well then..." He aimed the bow to him "Time to pay!"
"Why don't we fight in an open field?" Sozen suggested "Who knows? Maybe I have more secret traps laying around here"
"He must be lyin-" The priestess said
"Okay" Rokuro said
"He's dumber than I thought" Sozen thought to himself.
Outside the forest.
Everyone was watching the fight between Sozen and Rokuro.
"Come forth, Bow!" A bow appeared on Rokuro's hand.
"Tranzarus, let's do this" A sword appeared on Sozen's hand
The crowd.
"You can do this Bow Hero!" His allies said
"You can do this Sozen" Lily said
"This wil be interesting" Kou said
Aiko looked a bit worried for Sozen.
"Here we go!" Rokuro attacked [Rapid Shots]
In just seconds he shot 50 arrows at once.
"Impressive" Sozen countered it with [Phoenix's Flame]
He burnt all the arrows at once.
"Acting tough huh?" Rokuro said "Let's see if you can dodge this!" He attacked again [Arrows of Arlest]
Sozen sighed. He raised his hand. [Rose Flare]
A big flame shaped as a flower appeared and stopped the arrows.
Rokuro was furious."How dare you stop my arrows!" He said "A thief like you shouldn't be able to do that!" He used his only option [Divine Punishment!]
He shot a huge, divine and powerful arrow.
Sozen easily cut it.
"What..?!" He said
"You disappoint me" Sozen walked to him "I expected better from another Divine Hero"
"A-another?" Rokuro said
"Oh, I forgot" Sozen said "I'm Sozen Mishushima, a Divine Hero"
"Divine Hero?!" Rokuro's allies said suprised
"So then..." He pointed a sword at him "You still want to fight?"
Rokuro was angry, but he knew that he couldn't defeat him.
"You give up?" Sozen asked "Great, I don't want to have more conflict with you"
"A-another divine hero...?" The mage said
"We've been fighting him...." A soldier said
"Bow Hero" Sozen walked up to him. "You think what you have done is good?"
"O-of course! I saved everyone here!" Rokuro said
"But YOU asked each town to build you a statue with tehir own gold!" Sozen said "How arrogant can you be?"
"It's the kingdom's gold!" He shouted
"And do you own the kingdom?" Sozen asked
"W-well..." He said
"No you don't" Intervened Lily "This is my family's kingdom"
"P-Princess, I've been protecting this kingdom so-" He was interrupted
"That doesn't give you any rights to the kingdom" Lily said "We will talk about your punishment later"
"B-But but.."
"Silence! Now I have other matters to attend here" She said
The Bow Hero and the soldiers went back to the kingdom.
"Thank you for the tea" Lily said "Let me invite you all to my castle"
"Maybe later, for now we have to do something" Sozen said
"Oh, yeah. The divine weapon" Aiko said
"We still have lot to do" Tranzarus said
"I understand. We will happily let you in when you come back" Lily said "Shall we go Mika?"
"Yes your majesty" Mika said
Mika and Lily left with a bunch of soldiers.
"What about you Kou?" Sozen asked
"I still haven't had the thrill of an adventure" Kou said
"So you're basically saying is that you wanna come with us" Aiko said annoyed
"You've read my mind" Kou said
"Sure, you can come" Sozen agreed
"You'll end up following us if we disagreed" Aiko said
"You're not wrong" Kou said
"Let's go" Tranzarus said "That I want to go home already"
We 4 rode to a cave on a mountain.
"Is this it?" Kou asked
"Yeah" Sozen said looking at a map
"It's just a cave" Kou said
"Maybe there's some hidden maze or dungeon" Aiko said
"It can't be only a cave" Tranzarus said
We entered carefully.
"Well it seems like an ordinary cave still" Kou said a bit disappointed
"Yeah..." Sozen said
"So, this cave is the only thing that protects the divine weapon" Aiko said
Sozen tripped over a wire.
"Watch out!" Aiko said
A small rock fell on him.
"A rock...?" Sozen said
"What's with this trap?" Kou said disappointed
"Let's keep going" Sozen said
They kept walking, a massive cobweb blocked the way.
"Hm?" Tranzarus noticed something "This is not from a spider..."
Sozen touched the cobweb.
"String?" Sozen said confused
"Well we can easily cut it" Kou said.
He cut through them and they kept walking.
"I feel like the traps are a joke" Aiko said
"Well we're spending quality time here" Kou said
"I feel it's presence" Tranzarus said "We're getting closer to another divine weapon"
They walked a bit more and arrived to some sort of room. There was a bunch of books and chairs.
"Why are all these books here?" Aiko picked one up "Tale of Arlest's Conquest"
Kou picked one "The Legend of the First Flying Human"
"A bunch of books" Sozen picked two "They seem interesting"
"That's because it is"
They looked around, they couldn't see where the voice was coming from.
"Up here"
They all looked up, a boy was floating in the air reading a book.
"W-Who are you?" Sozen asked
"That's another divine weapon, his name is Gyou" Tranzarus said
"Oh, my friend Tranzarus." He was still reading a book "Has been a while since I saw you"
"Looks like you're still the same, locked in a room reading books" Tranzarus said
"And you still act childish even though you're 40000 years old" Gyou said "Anyways, what brings you here hero?"
"Firstly, I don't consider myself a hero" Sozen said
"Oh? A divine hero without the hero? Quite strange" Gyou said
"We've came here to retrieve you before the Demon Lord's Servants do" Sozen said
"Oh? He reincarnated already" Gyou said "I've lost track of time"
He glided down to the floor.
"So you will come with us?" Aiko asked
"It seems so" Gyou said looking at the exit of the cave.
That's when Sozen felt an aura... an demonic aura.
"They're here!" Sozen shouted
Suddenly a huge flame came through the cave.
Kou casted a barrier. It was able to withstand the huge flame.
"Thanks. I didn't want any of my books to burn" Gyou said
The books became some sort of dust and went inside a small bag that Gyou had.
They all walked out, they were prepared to fight.
"I see..." A purple haired woman stood infront of them "You're the ones who defeated the other two servants"
"Well I'm not part of it" Kou said
"Let me present myself" The woman said "One of the most powerful mages in the world, Cosmos The Mage!
"Hey Sozen.." Aiko whispered
"Yeah?" Sozen whispered
"She's dangerous, her magic is deadly. She can charm us and be able to control us" Aiko said
"I see, I'll watch out" He said
"This is the fun I'm seeking!" Kou pulled his sword out
"I'll back you guys from behind" Gyou said
"Let's have fun, SHALL WE!" Cosmos casted a huge fireball on her hand.
The adventurers advanced to victory or to their doom.
