Chapter 12
Sozen, Aika and Tranzarus were riding away from the Bow Hero.
"Are they still chasing us?" Aika asked
"Of course" Sozen said "His pride will never let 'thieves' escape"
"He'll just get tired" Tranzarus said
"Are you sure about that?!" Aika pointed at some arrows coming straight towards them.
"Oh no" Sozen said
They dodged them.
"Tranzarus pass me the smoke bombs" Sozen said
"You packed that?" Aika said
Tranzarus passed him a few small crystal balls.
He threw them behind them. It shattered on the floor and a smoke came out of it.
"This should slow them for a while" Tranzarus said
In the back.
"Agh! What's this smoke?!" The bow hero said "Where's my partners?" He looked around in the smoke
"Hero! Where are you!" The girls shouted
"Girls?" The bow hero heard their voice "Over he- Woaah!"
"Hero?" The girls ran to his voice.
The hero was laying on the floor, he had tripped on a rock.
Hours later.
Sozen, Aiko and Tranzarus had arrived to the second village. It had another statue of the Bow Hero, this time it had jewels and it was made by gold.
"He really is entitled isn't he?" Aika said
"Yeah..." Sozen said "For now let's rest, I think that they'll arrive in a few hours"
"I'm tired!" Tranzarus said
"Let's leave the horses and get the important stuff" Sozen said
"Okay" Aika said
They left their horses and grabbed their things, later they entered a inn and rented a room to rest.
Aika yawned and fell to the bed, Tranzarus did aswell.
"I'm so tired!" Aika said
"You two rest" Sozen said
"And you?" Aika asked
"I'll take guard" Sozen said
"Are you sure?" Aika asked
"Of course" Sozen said
"Okay!" Tranzarus layed down and fell asleep.
Aika did aswell.
"Aika looks cute when she sleeps" Sozen thought "What are you thinking about Sozen?! She wouldn't like someone like you!" Sozen sighed.
He looked out of the window.
"I wonder how's my family" Sozen said
"No! Please!" He remembered those words.
"Why can't I forget about that day?" Sozen said "I should have died that day... but instead another life was taken away"
Hours passed, Sozen had fallen asleep.
He woke up and realized that he had fallen asleep.
It was night time, but there was a bunch of lights coming from the outside.
"What?" Sozen looked out of the window.
A bunch of soldiers were surrounding the inn!
"Oh no!" Sozen said "Wake up!" He shouted
"Ehh?" Tranzarus said
"What's the matter..?" Aika said
"We need to leave. NOW!" Sozen grabbed his backbag
Aika looked outside the window and got her backbag quickly.
"But it's nighttime..." Tranzarus said
"Just become a sword! I'll carry you!" Sozen said impatient
"Okay..." Tranzarus became a sword and Sozen placed it on his waist.
"How do we leave?" Aika asked panicked
"There was a back door, let's leave over there" Sozen said
The two of them walked through the hallways silently so that they wouldn't get caught. They were walking down the stairs when they heard voices.
"Have you seen these three?" A soldier asked
"Hmm... let me think..." The Inn Owner said
"Don't waste my time!" The soldier said
"I'm just an old man, I don't remember" The Inn Owner said
Someone touched Aika's shoulder.
"Eeek-!" Aika said
"Shhh!" There was a man behind them.
"What was that noise?" The soldier asked
"Probably a mouse, you know? Squeek Squeek" The Inn Owner said
"Who are you?" Sozen asked
"Not now, right now we have to leave" The blue haired man said "The Inn Owner is distracting them for us to escape"
"Fine" Sozen said "We'll follow your lead"
"What?! We can't trust a random!" Aika said
"We don't have time, we have to take all of the possible chances!" Sozen said
"Follow me and be quiet" The blue haired man said
They quietly walked down the stairs, there was a curtain covering the stairs and the reception desk.
"Let's go" He said
They walked to the door, but when the door open a breeze came in and blew the curtains open.
"There they are!" The soldier said
"Well time to run!" He said in a excited tone
They dashed out of the door.
"I've prepared the horses!" He pointed at our horses.
"Let's go!" Aika said
We quickly mounted the horses and rode off.
"Wow! These horses you guys got are quite fast!" He said
"Why does it sound like that you're having fun?" Aika said
"Of course! Adventures are fun!" He said
"Anyways, who are you?" Sozen said
"Arrow" He said
Sozen ducked his head and a arrow flew right pass him.
"Call me.. Kou Tano" He said "The Blue Hooded Thief"
"Thief?!" Aika said
"Well that's what they call me" He said "But I prefer to be called The Blue Hooded Adventurer!"
"It's not time to talk right now!" Sozen said
"Yeah, that rain of arrows is quite the trouble" He said
"Rain of what-" Sozen looked back. Thousands of arrows were flying down to them.
"EEK!" Aika said
"[Wind of Arlest!]" A gust of wind blew the arrows off course.
"Quite useful" Aika said "But who's Arlest?"
"The First King of this lands, they say that his elemental power of wind could lift a whole island up" Kou said
"Not now" Sozen said
"Oh, more arrows" Kou said
"Wake up Tranzarus!" Sozen shouted
"Eh?" Tranzarus voice came from the sword.
"[Phoenix's Blitz!]" A flame came out from the sword, flew and burned the arrows.
"So you're one of those heros?" Kou asked
"I'll tell you later" Sozen said "We need to be in a safe place"
"Well follow me!" Kou took the lead
"Are you sure we can trust him?" Aika said
"We can't, but this is the only way to escape" Sozen said
They rode horses through the woods, while soldiers were chasing them in horses.
"Here we are" We stopped in the middle of the forest.
"Now what?" Sozen asked as he could hear the voices of the soldiers coming.
"Come on in" Kou suddenly walked and disappeared.
"What?!" Aika said
"I feel some magic infront of us" Tranzarus said
"Magic?" Sozen said
The soldiers were getting near.
"No time!" Sozen risked it and rode the way Kou went.
Aika followed.
They passed a magic barrier and appeared in some sorta mansion.
"What?!" Aika said shocked
"Welcome to The Resistance!" Kou said
"Resistance?" Sozen said
"Leave the horses, they'll take care of it" Kou said
They both hopped down and a person took them to the stables.
"Tranzarus, return to your normal state" Sozen said
She became a human again.
She stretched "What a nice sleep I had" She said
"So could you explain to us?" Aika asked
"Why don't you ask the leaders of the resistance" Kou said "Follow me"
They followed him inside the mansion, there was a bunch of people inside, a few weapons and some kids playing around.
"This place was made to protect the people who hated the bow hero" Kou said "If you didn't listen to his orders, you would have to die or be in prison"
"Only that?!" Aika said
"In this Kingdom, the Bow Hero would be like the prince." He said
"And does the king know about this?"Sozen asked
"Well..." Kou sighed "The King is in bed, he's very weak and probably princess will take the throne"
"And does she know?" Tranzarus asked
"No, she's more worried about her father so she left the Bow Hero rule" Kou said "Anyways time to meet the leaders"
Kou opened some doors.
"I'm baaaaack!" He said happily
"Him" A man sighed
"Welcome back Kou" A woman said and noticed them "And who might those three be?"
"She's Aika an adventurer and those two are Sozen and Tranzarus, they are Divine Heros" Kou said
"Hello, nic-" Suddenly a blade was pointed to his neck.
"A hero?!" The woman was weilding the blade "Are you trying to reveal our location?!"
"What were you thinking Kou!?" the man said "Your more dumber than usual!"
"Your words shred my heart into pieces" Kou said "They're not with the Bow Hero, they were also being chased by soldiers"
She lowered her blade.
She sighed "I see"
"Wait?! You trust them?!" the man said
"If Kou brought them, it will be probably be fine" She said
"Y-you're serious?!" The man said
"I haven't presented myself yet" She said "I am Mika Isobe, The Ex-Commander of the Army of Axteria"
"I'm her apprentice, Katsuo Obara" He said
"I'm Sozen Mishushima" He said
"Aiko Tokunaga" She said
"I'm Tranzarus" She said
"Well then, please explain why you're here" Mika said
The door closed behind us and we told her our reason.
