Adara woke up to the sound of a door opening, but didn't move. Keahi was still with her, so she didn't have to care who it was. She didn't have to be afraid.
"Keahi," Beck snapped. "What are you doing?"
"Well, I was resting until you came in here yelling, asshole."
Adara swallowed her laugh; neither man knew she was awake.
Beck's grinding teeth could be heard from across the room. "Her back-"
"Is getting better," Keahi challenged, voice still rough from being asleep. "She needs to rest." Beck snarled, but Keahi cut him off. "She cooled down. Do you want to come lay with her? She can't be alone when she wakes up."
"She was definitely not alone," Adara muttered, loud enough for both men to hear.
Adara could practically hear their necks snapped due to how quickly they looked at her. A heated silence ensued.
Keahi leaned down to whisper in her ear. "Am I staying or going?"
