Chapter 7

At last, its Friday the favorite day of any students on Earth or even aliens? Well, it's their P.E. day. This is Devi's strength, the sports. She is a part of their women's basketball team. She is a shooting guard. Every Friday is Devi's day.

Devi is still in her mother's car, smiling widely. Her mother noticed that.

"Pretty excited huh?" Her mother teases her. She knows how Devi love sports it's because of her father. Even though Devi hated her father it doesn't mean she will hate the thing they both loves.

"Yeah, I like moving a lot." Devi said and the both of them giggled. Devi hopped out of their car.

"Bye sweetie." Dein said while smiling to her daughter.

"Mom. . . Sweetie, seriously?" Devi replied. Dein just giggled in response. She looked Devi for a while, she seems to be more alike his father. She's mesmerized by her daughter and feels this moment for a while.

Devi noticed her Mom's gaze to her and snap her fingers in front of her. "Mom, let's buy an ice cream later, okay?"

Dein woke up from her daydreaming and agree to her daughter.

Devi smiles sweetly to her mother, showing off her pearly white teeth. She's like an innocent child at that moment. "Bye Mom! Love you!" She said sweetly to her mother.

Dein smiled back, "Love you too!" Dein replied.

Devi step backwards and watch her mother's car move away. She went inside to their school. She's wearing their P.E. matching it with her blue Nike Air Max shoes.

The sweet smile of Devi is as rare as a black pearl. The newbie boy in town seen it. He's mesmerized and stucked on his position.

Devi doesn't get much breakfast in their house so she went on the cafeteria. She goes straight ahead to the food counter and examined what food she wants to eat. She still has 30 minutes to enjoy her food. While walking across the counter and looking for her food, a girl bumped to her. Its the girl who hates her to the core, Melissa Browne.

"Look who's here?" Melissa hates Devi, but more like she envy her. She is jealous on how smart is she, she is also good in sports, and how boys drool to her. Melissa is also frustrated why Devi didn't give a damn on those guys who like her. If she is Devi, she will grab the opportunity and try them all.

Devi knows how to react if needed and when is not. This time, its better to just to focus on her appetite. "Miss, can you give me one chocolate waffle and a strawberry syrup for these pancakes." Devi said to the seller.

The lady nod, "30 pesos all." The seller said.

Devi grab her wallet but before she can do it, Melissa grab her right arm. "You really are rude, aren't you?" Melissa said between gritted teeth.

"So? What do you want me to do? Hug and kiss your fatty cheeks." Devi replied and pushing away Melissa's arm. She then continued to get her 50-peso bill and give it to the lady.

Melissa is pissed off, how Devi treated her. This is absurd! Devi also mentioned her cheeks are... Fat?! Melissa hates when people tell her that she's fat. When she was in her elementary days, she is chubby and has really a big cheek. Some of her classmates bully her until 6th grade. Because of the pain her classmates brought to her, she changed. She worked hard to achieve her body right now and try to maintain it. So, no one will ever make a shame out of her. She is stronger and more determined than ever.

With one word that Devi just said, her past memories came rushing in. The humiliation, shame, and her weakness are crawling back to her mind. She cannot forgive Devi for this.

"My. Cheeks. Are. Not. Fat." Melissa said in the most serious tone she can ever had. Devi looked to her, wondering why this girl is interfering her breakfast. She just looked up to her and said, "Okay." then leave.

Melissa on the other hand is pissed off, to the max. Devi is showing no interest to Melissa, not a little. Melissa stomp her foot out of frustration and leave the canteen. She is embarrassed on what she has done. She feels dumb coming nearer to Devi Eliazar.

Devi starts eating her waffle and pancakes with a mug of brown coffee. She is enjoying it while listening to The Weekend. Her mini peace suddenly turns to chaos when a loud girl came near her, which is basically Angela.

"Wow! Waffles, give me some." Angela asked. She is ready to reached out her hand to the plate. But Devi slap her hand. "Ow! Meanie. . ." Angela said in a cute sad tone, teasing Devi.

Devi lick the fork with a waffle in front of Angela. Showing how delicious it is. In response, Angela raised her right eyebrow. Devi laughed and finish her food.

"Desserts are really your thing huh? Cookie monster ha ha ha!" Angela finds it funny that Devi likes sweets. Even though her friend's personality is far from the definition of sweet. Well, that's opposite attracts she guess.

Their class is about to start in 5 minutes. The two girls got up and ready to went on their room, unfortunately it's not easy this time. Because Melissa has a shameful moment a while ago, she seeks for revenge. She is now with her so called 'friends' that are ready to do anything she asked for.

"What is she doing here?" Angela whispered to Devi. Her light mood turns dark now. Because of the girl in front of them. Devi looked to them with a bored looked as always. She pulled Angela's arm and about to walk away from Melissa. But Melissa, wouldn't let that happen.

"What do you want now? Our class is about to start. Can you fucking move out of the way?" The tone of Devi's voice, surely shows how bores and sick she is to Melissa. Devi thinks what is the problem of the girl to her.

"No. I won't." Melissa replied, looking grim. She nods to her 'friends', signals them to grab Devi's arm. But because Devi is a born athlete, she manages to change the situation and grabbing tightly the arms of the girl in the left. While, Angela grabs the arms of the girl in the right. Angela and Devi nod to each other and throw the girls back to Melissa. The girls grunt. Their arms has a red mark of Devi's and Angela's arms to them.

"If you want to win, fight fair." Devi said to Melissa and went on her way. The food she ate earlier makes her mood lighten a bit. This Melissa girl has BIG problem to her.

Devi looked back at Melissa. "Respect yourself. That's how will you gain it from others."

Once again, Melissa is ashamed for the nth time. She run away with her 'friends' in the back. Angela pitied Melissa. The girl needs care, she may be mean and bitchy on the outside but she is fragile as a glass. One push and it will be over for her.

"Poor Melissa. . ." Angela sighed. The two of them went straight ahead to their classroom. Wishing Melissa has learned some lessons.

In the gymnasium, the class 1-A stands. Listening to their P.E. teacher Mr. Bill Valdez. Based from his physique, his whole body his toned and obviously he is athletic and loves to go to gym.

"Good morning class!" Mr. Bill shout out loud. His voice is naturally loud. He doesn't need a microphone to hear him from the whole gymnasium.

"Good morning Sir." The class answered but with low energy.

"Again, I can't hear you!" Mr. Bill replied mimicking the theme song of 'SpongeBob SquarePants'.

The class laughs except for Devi. Their teacher is trying to be lively and she like it. "Good morning Sir!" The class once again greeted but with an energy this time.

"That's what I'm talking about! For today's activity, we'll be testing your speed, agility, balance, coordination, power, and reaction." Their teacher explained. He's saying this without a book or any copy. He's teaching with experience.

"Pretty exciting!" Charles exclaimed. He is also a sporty himself. He's in the track field, a runner in their school. He is best in 100m dash and relay. Everybody can see his toned calves and arms from the training.

"This will be a battle between girls and boys. Get ready for the first test, a test of speed."

This class have 30 pupils. An equal 15 girls and boys. The girls including Devi, Angela, and Anne went to the left side and the rest of the boys went to the right side. Tavius is quietly analyzing what we'll be going happen. He bowed his head a little and grinned. He needs to control his actions. He loves physical doings, especially beating the shit out of people.

Devi smiled. A smile showing how easy she can nail this. P.E is for her. Angela might look skinny but she's a member of the Taekwondo team of their school. She started this sport when she was ten and really enjoying it. Her taekwondo belt is 3rd Kup Brown. Anne on the other hand, doesn't like this kind of thing. She prefers reading a book or watching a movie. She hopes she can survive this. Some of the other girls in classmates are funny like Elle Dominguez who is a seatmate of Devi not so confident about this. The others are the typical feeling pretty ones. Putting all the make up and lipstick in their face but none of them stored information in their brains. So its up for Devi and Angela to passed their team.

Boys on the other side are quite and talking about some stuffs. Well most of them are part of a sport team in their school, except for the newcomer Tavius. But little that they know, that Tavius is. . .

"For the first test is a 40-meter sprint!"

The skill fitness test begins. . .
